Grimbo sometimes played along with it though and joked about it himself, then other times would take offence. While some of the comments could have been seen as taking things too far, it's worth acknowledging that posters only started getting that harsh on him at the point where he was making jokes about going on holidays with other people's money with a resentful, arrogant tone, beyond just stating the facts of owning a second home and going on a cruise. If half of you knew him personally (which I don't apart from PMs) you would change your perception rather quickly. The things he does of his own back in his local community is a touch of greatness. It is, however, pretty likely that, having had to go through that tragedy, he took advantage of the situation to make money out of others' goodwill under false pretences.
