The punishment is a bit OTT in my opinion. Is he supposed to stand back and wave the striker through?
marksteinson
Looking at the sending off, again. Is it possible that the Raith player actually caught Jamie, as He made attempt to try and play the ball? All if's and but's
Loon From Outta Toon
Raith player falls over Jamie's trailing leg, bit unfortunate to be sent off in my opinion, genuine attempt to go for the ball.2 game ban for a straight red as well? Bit of a joke like!

Chris_the_rover
I don't think he did but we could argue all day about that. Do you think the punishment is fair? Honestly yes. It clearly states it in the laws of the game that if you commit a foul where there is a clear goal scoring opportunity then it's a red card

Loonytoons
Aye that's the law but that doesn't make it fair and a ban on top for something like that is bonkers IMO. Why is it not fair? It's meant to be a disincentive not to do it again. Otherwise players would be constantly tripping up opponents when they are clean through in the last couple of minutes of games.Sent off for a couple of minutes with no further punishment is definitely bonkers. Of course it's fair that's the rules of the game everyone knows that. There is no arguing that point. He gets the ban because it's a red card again that's what happens every time there is a red card there is again no arguing that point. speedframe
Apart from the obvious two teams the decisions / cards probably do even themselves out over a season. It is pointless and petty appealing these decisions. I hope the club learn from this.
