The Aberdeen Mega-Hyper New Stadium Thread

Club have issued a statement that they hope the decision on the new stadium will be made before the end of the year.

I'm hoping that we've reached a point where the club are being given as much support as they can get from the council to pre-empt any blockers that would lead to the planning department to recommend to reject. I've no idea how much 'help' we can be given if the council are of a mind to do so but I want to think positively!!!

Wish we would just hurry up and withdraw this. Get the training facilities there and start going for Kings Links for the stadium. Bored of the whole thing now

Agree don't care where the training ground is but would like the ground as close to pittodrie as possible

I hope your main stand is tremendous after all these delays.

Thankfully the standards expected of a main stand have been lowered recently.  Based on the Hearts model we've already purchased the front of the Grosvenor casino.

If it needs to be out of town wouldn't Portlethen have been a better location given it has a mainline railway station and it south of the city?

Think they originally went for Lorniston Loch which was in Cove halfway between Portlethen and Aberdeen. Don't know why they have to put the stadium and training facilities in the same place.
