Football phrases and their real meanings

A bit of fun (well it is for me). We all hear and read things related to football, but I reckon it's a lot of cliched claptrap :) So here we go -

After a friendly- "Good game against a strong/good....... team" - Actually means, we only took the game because we knew we would beat you and are now patronising you.

"We go again" - Classic football cliche, which means we were crap in the last game and are now trying to appease the fans.

After a friendly - "All the best to ......for the season" - Actually means, we really couldn't care about your season, but are again patronising you.

Feel free to add any more if you wish.
