Another one missing this weekend is Andrew Cotter as he is in London covering the athletics. Maureen Madill is somewhat dull. Presumably she`s there because in true BBC fashion they`ll be paying her much less than the guys.

Probably. Sooner they get rid of Alliss the better, and let Andrew Cotter take his place.

Salvo Montalbano
Considering Cotter was seen as a Rugby guy for ages, he's now up there as one of the most versatile (and best) commentators around. He must do a lot of research as he always sounds knowledgeable.

Ro Sham Bo
Deary me,4 days of alliss and james wittering shite,i may go for the us coverage option ad breaks n all Is this option via the BBC?I've had this on for 5 minutes and I've had about as much as I can take. Madill and James - possibly the dullest pairing imaginable.
Flybhoy
Red button or not that BBC coverage is fucking dreadful, twenty minutes of it I managed just now. Im all for having more major sport on free to air TV but some kind of effort/decent coverage is a must, that is utterly fucking gash.

They only picked up the rights a few weeks ago and it shows.SD coverage, no on-course reporter, no interviews in the 45 minutes I've been watching. It's like they've sent a squad of 5 out there and that's it.Absolutely brutal. Ro Sham Bo
"What a shot!" exclaims Allis just as the chip from the edge of the green slips 15 feet past the hole.
Distant Doonhamer
The coverage is poor and compared to the Sky coverage of the Open it looks just awful. Fully accept that Sky have the resources but surely the BBC can do better than this. Dreadful stuff.

peasy23
Ultimately I couldn't rally give a shit who the commentators/presenters are, I want to see golf and I saw a bigger variety of players hitting shots tonight than I did at any point during the Open. peasy23
You can't mention the presenters without mentioning Eilidh Barbour. I'll even forgive her for being a Saints fan.

peasy23
Some of the greens look poor, seen a few putts bobbling. Look like they are as fast as Augusta, if not even faster. They won't actually say what speed they are on the stimp meter.

peasy23
Speith playing this hole in a similar fashion to the way I navigated the 8th at Bishopbriggs last week. 591 yards covered in 6 shots without going near the fairway. (Him not me)
