Huge result for us today, not a pretty performance from either side but the weather dictated that. Level on points and goal difference with the play-off places and still three games in hand.

I've just looked at the table and realised that we are actually up in the play-off places now. For some reason I thought we were 3 points behind Darvel before today, but it was only 2. Happy days.

Now we need to consolidate this position by beating Maryhill at home next week. Small targets, one at a time.

It was indeed a huge result for us a few  talking points from today and looking forward to the highlights/report.

Good to see smith and mckay up top again thought both were great today and big jack with a couple off top drawer saves.

Another big win today againts a maryhill team who i thought played really well at times and caused a few problems.

Going forward today our play was excellent just need to keep it up after this break.

It was imperative to win today after a good win last week, and with a lot of our promotion rivals winning as well.

We should have had the game tied up in the first quarter and nearly paid the price, but we got there in the end.

Very impressed with Maryhill's lone striker Ciaran Smith today.

On reflection, that was a very important result for us today. Just about all of our promotion rivals won as well, so it was vital that we didn't slip up at home against the team at the bottom of the league (no disrespect intended).

We stay in the play-off places and we now have a break from the league for a couple of weeks. Looking at the fixtures, only Cumbernauld could go above us in the time that we are idle, and they would have to win two away games and improve their goal difference by four to go above us.

Today was the sort of game where we normally slip up, and I thought it was going to happen again after missing so many chances and going in 2-2 at half time. But we were more resilient in the 2nd half after we went ahead for the 3rd time, and Maryhill shot themselves in the foot with the red card. Having said that, it took a terrific block by Jamie Hamilton to deny Maryhill a last-gasp equaliser from the indirect free kick on the 6-yard line.

We look forward to a weekend off and then the Central League Cup tie at St Roch's, before the start of the midweek mayhem.

Rutherglen Glencairn are pleased to confirm the signing of midfielder Sean McCall, previously with Maryhill, Kirkintilloch Rob Roy and Tower Hearts u21s. Sean, who is 22 years old, plays wide on either side of midfield and made his debut as a trialist in the recent away win against Darvel Juniors.

No game for us this weekend which works out nicely for the players at Easter weekend.

Then next weekend it's the Central League Cup tie away to St Roch's. Despite if being a split gate, both clubs have agreed to continue their policy of letting kids in free to the match, and St Roch's have announced that they will kindly be giving away Easter eggs to every child who turns up.

A nice touch. [emoji106]
