So the best result and biggest shock of the day gets circa 90 seconds

What do you expect them to do with a couple of cameras?

They can't send multi-camera OBs to every game "just in case".

Standard. Annan v Hamilton and Albion Rovers v Motherwell in previous seasons given the same treatment.

Most of the time the highlights only have a couple of cameras and we still get at least a few minutes of highlights.

You have some comically antiquated views on what being 'presentable' is

So looking like a burst couch whilst being slumped in your chair looks presentable to you? Not just in general but as the presenter for our “flagship” coverage show

10 or so minutes of highlights on the Celtic game, and all of 2 on the biggest upset and story of the day. Embarrassing.

Embarrassing would be trying to show 10 minutes of highlights from two cameras (although I suspect only one was properly usable for highlights - the other angle they used near the end looked "stylised", as if they're doing a feature tomorrow).

They make a call on which games to send multi-camera OBs and on-site commentators to. They chose Celtic and Dunfermline (plus Aberdeen, shown live). Those will always get longer highlights simply because the footage is there to do that. All the other games get the "roundup" treatment because that's the best you can do with one camera.

I don't have any issues with the 'presentability' of any of the guys on Sportscene

For league games? From last season, they've all had at least four cameras.

In the seasons before, you're right they did try and show long-form highlights with only a couple of cameras. And it was widely slated on here, e.g. replays from the same camera that showed you something "live" with the commentator trying to add some kind of colour.

It's a no-win situation it seems.

Celtic game was about 16 minutes. No excuse for that to be their main match. Now we're getting full highlights of their live match, this should be kept till last. The Lanarkshire derby or the game at Dumfries should have been their main match.

This is a perfect opportunity to highlight clubs who don't get much coverage but they chose to 'feature' the Celtic game? Poor choice. They could feature more games and out some actual effort into giving better coverage, but the difference between funding on highlights and football by the BBC in Scotland compared to England is plain to see.

The Aberdeen vs St Mirren game was a good choice for the live game. Queens vs Partick definitely should have been the main game tonight. East Fife vs Brora should have been a feature game and had it not been postponed so should Albion Rovers vs St Johnstone
