Bully Wee Villa
But the only scenario where that happens is when they've already got to 90 minutes level. In those circumstances, I'd fancy the underdog's chances more in an extra half hour and possibly penalties than I would if they have to have a full replay. Also, it's all well and good for Rochdale fans who are able to attend tonight. Plenty of people, and virtually all children, can't attend midweek games away. It's better to have the tie decided in one game at the weekend, when as many people as possible can attend.
HibeeJibee
Part-timers fitness and concentration are far more likely to fail in an extra 30 minutes than in another game 10 days later.
7-2
FFS. Rochdale have got their strips embroidered with the match details. That's extremely embarrassing.

Mr. Brightside
We really need to be made aware of why they’ve made the decision they have.
Mark Connolly
At this point it should be remembered that this was not a technology issue, it was an issue with the guy watching the video.

Well until we have robots or AI watching the video that is going to remain a huge issue.
Ira Gaines
I see the "clear and obvious mistake" part of things has been well and truly binned there.
spud131
Part of the problem I think with VAR is that they seem to check every goal is ok before awarding it as opposed to only checking goals where there looks to be something wrong with it. Bishop Briggs
Unusually, I agree with Robbie Savage. Llorente was fouled by the defenders. I can't see what he did to result in the goal being disallowed. A totally bizarre and inexplicable decision!

The Master
There was a pull of the shirt but I think they were both at it. Usually referees let that go. It definitely didn’t look like a “clear and obvious error”, even if the shirt-pulling was only one way. Or does that not apply to goals, which are all checked as a matter of course?
