Bulls got Hornchurch at home. Should be an easy win. We were shit hot against Kempston.

However, I'll be at Haringey Borough vs. Bideford/Bodmin.

I'd love Haringey vs. Hereford in the 4th round.

Thank you.

South Shields v York City 3rd qualifying round. Sat 30th September. Vase v Trophy winners. Interesting.

Engineering work on the east coast makes that a shite journey on the Saturday. Doubt I could be arsed driving. Benfield got Kidderminster, which is a decent draw for them as well.

Yes it's £8 £5 and £1 entry at Sam Smiths Park. Hopefully a decent crowd for Benfield.

South Shields haven't yet made a decision regarding the York City match, looks like another all ticket affair.

The train situation more than likely also affects my plans so might take in one of these games.

Third Qualifying Round this weekend and 7 Level 9 clubds left in it, the last Level 10 club Bodmin Town lost 0-1 away to Bideford in a replay last night. BBC streaming game is Ashton Athletic (9) v Chorley (6), good to see they resisted the temptation to show Stockport County v FCUM. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/41361797

Haringey Borough can make history tomorrow if they beat Bideford. First time ever in the Fourth Qualifying Round.

2-0 win sees them through to the 1st round.

Presumably get Carlisle away in round 1.

I prefer the original version.

curious goings on all ends up with that lot - last i heard they were going to rename themselves Barnsley Town as they supposedly were not allowed to use their "sponsored" name at a higher level, but then decided to go with Shaw Lane A F C with the A F being quite obviously there to denote Aqua Force (whilst officially being Association Football for regulatory purposes), in a bit of a R B Leipzig stylee circumvent the regulations ruse; the issue always used to be not how much they paid players, but that they had a huge of squad signed up, all getting paid pretty much the going rate, so they were able to rotate the team and ensure that they never fell foul to fixture pile-ups or struggled with unavailability, unlike regular lower league clubs;

same old story, really - bit of cash gets results and everyone else who's not in the same boat cries foul - happens up and down the country when a local businessman fancies playing football chairman for a bit - R S Southampton, Herne Bay, Winchester City etc etc - never enough invested to make a lasting run at being a full time club, but enough to piss off everyone in their immediate vicinity for a few years and prompt much smirking when it all goes tits up...

barnsley's still a squalid, indigent hole, mind  ;)
