With this year's League Cup being the most boring in history, in terms of shocks, this season's FA Cup is trying to follow suit. Possibility of not a single non-league team in the Third Round.

Dunno if that has ever happened before (since the league was invented).

courtesy of the Guardian:

“If the FA Cup replays involving non-league sides go to form, there will be no non-league sides in the third round: when was the last time that happened?” asks Richard Powell.

It has never happened since the third round was introduced in 1925-26, Richard. Back in 2015-16, Eastleigh flew the flag as sole non-leaguers, but this season could see the first blank yet. With Hereford FC facing Fleetwood Town in the final replay, it could rest on their shoulders.

Newport County V Leeds United on BBC Wales at midday on Sunday 7th January.

Good to see manure run come to an end after 13 years and 58 games. Those chinese utd fans will be crying into their noodles.

A supposed Leeds United fan calling Manchester United ... United !?

So it's a non-league free Round 3.

Yeah. Why we didn’t go 4-4-2 I have no idea. We showed these minnows way too much respect.

Still, FA Trophy Saturday and league are our main targets.

Went to the Peterborough V Woking game on Tuesday. Woking started off brilliantly, but couldn't keep the pace up. Good away support of over 500.

peterborough are a set of b*****ds - they used to have a terrace the same as this for away fans, but ripped it up a couple of seasons ago and put in the pathetic all-seater tin-pot shittery that you can just see unther the "wimpy" advertising hoarding - no doubt because any away support numbering more than half a dozen used to be able to drown out the unintelligible grunting from the six-fingered bog-trotting morons at the other end; having been there a couple of times with Rovers - and several hundred like minded individuals (it's an easy trip just down the A1) when an utterly fantastic atmosphere was guaranteed - they've basically emasculated one of the last, proper away terraces in the (english) game. the only other place i've been that was comparible was the old Darwen End terrace at Ewood Park...

apologies - nothing to do with the F A Cup, but the world needs to know about Peterborough United and how they lick the arse of modern football with all its ills, like the slavering, mutant inbreds they are...
