Harry Kinnear
Not especially, just appeared well built. Form seems to have gone to shit He definitely looks overweight now. Being played out of position will do nothing for his confidence though.
Poet of the Macabre
"Our Time" Awful result for Falkirk. Best hope someone signs up Sibbald and /or Gallacher to get some much needed cash. Here's the main point though; whether Livingston played kick and rush football or not, it doesn't matter. It's not illegal, it's sometimes very effective and if it wins you football matches then fair play. Have never understood why "the other team played long ball" is seen as some form of gamesmanship. Houston was clearly unhappy but should have at least wished Livi well for the next round.

Houston was clearly unhappy but should have at least wished Livi well for the next round. Houston and Taiwo both spoke about the direct style of Livingston's football in their after match interviews. Surely at home that's the way we should be playing. In the face of our opponents, on the front foot and attacking them. I've been watching the Bairns for 45 years and it would appear I haven't had a clue about fitba all these years.

andylivi1
Some highlights here, Houston thought our winner was handball, what world is he in ? What a finish by Raffa. Both our goals coming from cross balls which we looked dangerous from all night. https://vimeo.com/rogerthatproductions

Not sure it was entirely kick and rush, we pressure the ball back well which is key to winning in midfield, our first goal came from a Falkirk player's loose pass which Josh Mullin ran on to, then passed to Danny Mullen and he whipped in a diagonal ball for Robinson to knock past the keeper, it was a cracking goal. I'm sure Houston would've preferred we gave them space to move the ball about and run past us but tough titties. .
smpar
Falkirk seem to have done the same thing for a good three years or so now. An unexpected cup exit (I'm mainly thinking of 3-5 vs Peterhead and last night's game) leads to the "Houston out" brigade coming out in their numbers, followed by string of decent results and finishing the league in a fairly high, yet expected, position. Do Falkirk fans want a new manager? Or just want PH to take some responsibility when you're beaten by supposed weaker opposition. Also seen a few folk suggesting that the players simply aren't fit enough which should be a major concern.

To say that either team played anything approaching football is ridiculous. You've saved us a serious pumping in the next round, so there is something to be thankful in that. No, we played as a team and on the night were the better side, that's how e progressed to the next round. Just because Falkirk fans didn't enjoy the game doesn't mean Livi fans felt exactly the same about how it was played. We played some nice passing football at times and other times we put in good balls to pressure your defence, the energy and commitment from our players was outstanding too. We're punching well above our weight this season compared to every other FT team but our work rate and team spirit makes up for a lot.
Poet of the Macabre
Raith played balls down the channel to Tade and Baird all season and almost won the league FFS. If it's effective, then who cares?

gav-ffc
I would like him to take responsibility for his mistakes, sending Miller on at 50 minutes naturally leads the ball to going long 9/10 times. Having Kerr and Taiwo at home just doesn't work in my opinion, Taiwo is great and if any of the team battled like he does every week we wouldn't have lost last night. What's the point in Finlayson if both our right backs are out he played a centre half who wasn't fit one of which isn't even a right back but Houston has continually played Muirhead at right back for 2.5 years. Poet of the Macabre
I honestly thought there must have been a handball in the build-up. Surely he didn't think De Vita put the ball in with his hand?! I am absolutely loving this Falkirk meltdown. Hopefully we don't lie down too hard tonight and spoil things. snorkie
It's no wonder your team lost when your fans couldn't even muster up the usual song of meadowbank w**k w**k ...some Falkirk fans a bit harsh about their team if it wasn't for the save by Alexander Falkirk might have won ,Livi played as well as Ive seen in a few years and deserved to win even with a stone wall penalty denied ,am sure it'll balance out over the season. I don't think most of us are too concerned about losing the game (although it would have been nice to be the last non Premiership team left), but the performance of the team. It does not bode well for our hopes of automatic promotion at the moment.
