Saints absolutely battered them especially in the first half don't think Iv witnessed such a yin sided game in a long time should o been 5-0 the fitba wis really great tae watch at times if anything to much it times loads of chances but one of them games were it came back and bit them, but I'm share they'll be alright, the managements jobs I'll be safe doon there as long as they play fitba like that and win o course which I'm share they will!

Reserves 3-3 draw at home to lochmaben, difficult draw for the youngesters, 3-1 down at halftime after poor defensive goals to give away, 3-3 10 minutes into second half then it was chance after chance missed. One sided second half for the blues. Scores Jonny Baxter, Lewis mctintyre and Callum Scott. Creetown wedensday night at home

Was at the newton game. And until the first goal went in it could have went either way and once newton got the second it was in no doubt who the winner would be. There seemed a few missing from newton and the managers son was on the bench also scored when he came on

Newton were missing roughly 5 or 6 players although they still looked pretty impressive. Both the manager and his son scored today. Does anybody know the last time this happened in the south league? Was quite intrigued to learn that teams can use 5 subs this season. I imagine this will completely change the dynamics of a number of games this season.

Must of been watching another game from me. First 20 minutes saints played the better football after that it was all uppers could of been more in the end so don't try kid yourself or anyone else.

Honestly um no being blinkered apart from the goal that was a geed hit fae 25 plus yard and Uppers hitting the crossbar early doors a canny think of any other clear cut chances, the young swan lad was the only yin looking tae really create fur them and another young lad,if Saints keep playing like that and keep creating that many chances they'll be fine!

As a saints man the game today was much tighter than id have liked. Uppers will surprise alot of teams this season but still feel we should have shaded the game. We have lost a few player though so will take time to settle. Also see our neighbours and self proclaimed best defence in the league were convincingly beat aswel by a lochar side missing 4 or 5 players. Good result for newton stewart also today who look to be right up there this year. Alot of the other games look to be close which makes for an exciting and competitive league this year.

Hit the post and bar in the second half and after that kept the ball for fun.Saints had a few chances wouldn't say clear cut but at the end of the day a win is all that matters and uppers walked away with the 3 points .

Strangely the first goal was scored in the sixth minute so I'm guessing it couldn't have went either way for long ! In fairness better finishing and it should easily have been double figures and that with 7 players short but didn't think Nithsdale actually played that badly considering the scoreline - great start for NS

Newton Stewart's experienced defence do not give a lot away . As you would expect from a player of his class Cluckie is what Newton needed to complete their defence and midfield from last season. Can't recolect a father and son both scoring for the same team before in the SOS. Anybody?

Ive always thought lochar players had collect a certain amount of tote each week to cover costs of running club? Think the only teams who will have spent money will be threave, saints, uppers and maybe bonnyton. Only game 1 plenty of time for saints and threave to go on a run and maybe even win the title.

I wasn't sure where to go on Saturday Meadow or St Mary's but decided on the St Cuthberts game and It was all St Cuthberts for long periods of the game, Upper Annandale really struggled to contain them and were fortunate not to be behind on a number of occasions, if St Cuthberts had their shooting boots on it was only going one way, but it just shows what can happen if you don't take chances they got caught with the sucker punch,St Cuthberts played really attractive football was nice to watch if they get it all together they could be hard to beat.
