Laughable to claim that's a penalty. Not looking forward to playing Dunfermline again because by the time all their first team players are fit they could beat us by 7 or 8 they are that good.

He's far from wiped out though is he, he's flicked the ball at goal and his momentum has taken him into the Livingston player.
Be honest if that is given as a penalty against you you'd be furious.

Well no, because it is genuinely a stonewall penalty, your player has made an attempt at winning the ball, completely fucked it and took out the player, penalty.

If you pause the video at the moment Hopkirk touches the ball your player is jumping off the ground towards Hopkirk (and the ball) I could get your argument if the player in question has been stationary and stood his ground but seing as that's the opposite of what he's doing, it's a penalty.

Just like if you're on the half way line and you wipe a player out after he's got his head to the ball it's a free kick, it is incredibly stupid from your defender, he was never, ever going to win that. That's definitely played on the referees mind and lead to him giving the Cardle dive.
