25/1 to win the league this year may be a bit optimistic.

Decent start and you never know.

Cup win 4-1 against Carluke to see us through to the final against the gow was a decent result against a good team.

Things progressing well for the start of the season

The club are pleased to announce some further signings as manager Jamie McKenzie adds to his squad ahead of the coming season. Firstly, we welcome back goalkeeper Martyn Meek and defender Stephen Tait who have re-signed for a further season. Secondly, it's a return for defender Marc 'Dan' Napier who was previously at Kingshill between 2006 and 2012 and last but certainly not least, we are delighted to announce forward Keigan Parker, with his vast experience in both Senior and Junior football, has joined in a player/coach capacity.
A warm Kingshill welcome to all.

Great start to the season with a 5-1 win against Greenock in the League.

This result comes on the back of qualifying for the first time in 30yrs from the group stages of the Sectional League Cup

If anybody's short of something to do on Wednesday Night

Why not come along and watch the Quarter Final Game at Kingshill Park

Forth Wanderers v Pollok 630 KO

Sure to be an entertaining game as one of the galactico teams in the Scottish Junior Game take on a wee team from Glasgow [emoji6]

Without being disrespectful to Forth it can't be long until someone comes and snaps up Jamie Mackenzie. The guy has done an unbelievable job there and by god it must be hard to get players to go up to Forth and play which makes the club achievements even more impressive. Got nothing but good things to say about Forth but I am sure Jamie will get a big job very soon.

Fair play to Forth.

It's hardly the place any neutral is going to think of on a free Saturday afternoon or a Wednesday night. I've been a number of times and the best/fastest route from Glasgow by car is via Harthill on the M8 is 33 miles. So the committee is entirely relying on the locals.

If Jamie is offered a 'big' job, and the team in question goes about it properly, then he would go with our best wishes.
However, perhaps he feels he can get Forth back to where they were in the late 70's/early 80's? Big ask obviously, but we're working hard both on and off the park to be the best we possibly can.
Regards attracting players, we train in Bellshill and Hamilton so the travel is not quite what it might seem.

Also three of the most successful clubs in junior football (Auchinleck,Cumnock and Glenafton) can attract players despite being geographically in the middle of nowhere. Seems to me that their geographical distinction allied to sustainable community involvement (with a little bit of intense village rivalry thrown in) are the reasons why they are so successful. Of course you also need a good manager who knows how to build and put a team together. Forth is a village about the same size as Auchinleck - if they can do it why can't other similar sized villages ?

Probably deserves a thread in its own right.

Going by the census the combined area (South East Ayrshire) draws in a fair few folk.

This particular neutral, albeit a London based Juniors explorer, did make the journey last weekend to see the Greenock game and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Part of the joy of the juniors, to me at least, is the contrast between the city slickers and the wilderness and a reasonable bus service from Lanark makes Forth as accessible as many places, even if it might be more of an August or April destination for the neutral, due to the possibilities of a 'breeze' and a 'spot or two of rain'. They even get those in Tenerife!
