He's unproven at international level, apart from one game which he did win but hardly looked convincing. He'll be a better option than probably most of the usual "pure Scottish ken" shortlist that they usually put in place, but if we're going for someone who isn't Scottish, I'd imagine there would be better - and cheaper - options.
