Growl3th
This might be a stupid question but in Division One do teams have squad numbers or is it 1 - 11 on the day of the game?

JoseMarooniho
We've always been 1 - 11. Pretty sure that will continue
Growl3th
We have squad numbers as has been shown in pre-season. But that is pre-season.
Rovers1992/1993
But that is pre-season. Why print the names on the new tops with the numbers just for pre-season though?
Growl3th
There were no names on Monday.
Zen Archer (Raconteur)
There hasn't been names on the shirts for any of the friendlies, the players have kept the same 'squad' numbers however.
LiamA
East Fife will have squad numbers this season

CALDERON
Grim as f**k. Just go 1-11.
Jan Vojáček
I know it's a bit more expensive, but I'd love to see it made mandatory for all SPFL clubs (L2, L1, Championship, Premiership) to have names and numbers on the back of their shirts. It looks so much more professional.
Mick1867
Usually just 1-11 for us. Expect that to continue
Mattmc
Don't know why but I really dislike Stranraer having names and numbers on their shirts. Seems to be quite common in the lower leagues these days. Not sure the reasoning.

I'll look forward to the day when the Arbroath lineup reads 21 Newman 17 Trialist 4 Trialist 19 Newman 3 Trialist 11 Linn 22 Newman 77 Newman 44 Newman 33 Trialist 9 Doris We would look soooooooo professional! I would pay extra to watch.

In League 1 and 2 its optional for clubs to have squad numbers and names on the shirts, just the Premiership and Championship that you have to have them. We had both last season but are just going 1-11 this season.
D'Jaffo
We've got squad numbers and names on back of shirts this season.
GoalForAirdrie
We haven't even got a squad never mind squad numbers...
Raith Against The Machine
Rovers, as stated above, sticking with squad numbers for this season, but appear to have decided against printing names. This is the only major takeaway from the first ten minutes of the season.
Father Barrys Sign (Top Half)
Alloa are 1-11, binned squad numbers when we came back down to League One at the beginning of last season.
