HeartsOfficialMoaner
Is that right? Trying to work out how many games Rangers failed to register their players properly. I was guessing it was about 40 games v Hearts and times that by 11 clubs. What was the exact start date and when did they stop? .

You might as well add in the European games as well as the domestic cups if you want the complete picture.

I'm sure that the EBT scheme had stopped being used by the time admin etc all kicked in. As you say though, it includes games in all competitions, so the figure is high. Fack! you are correct MT, until season 2010/2011. The last ever payments from the EBT scheme ended just before Craig Shite took over in 2011 and then he had to renegotiate ludicrous contracts with the EBT recipients hiking up and bloating the Rangers wage budget for players. HeartsOfficialMoaner
I'd like Hearts hire lawyers to contact the football authorities and for them to specify every game and every player that was playing who was not properly registered and was taking cash in hand payments and ask for the result to be a 3-0 defeat for Rangers. They have to let the Hearts fans know we are not happy to be cheated.

HeartsOfficialMoaner
Say it was 11 seasons times 38 games a season equals 418 Say 11 seasons times 9 cup games a season equals 99 99 plus 418 equals 517 LNS fine was £250,000 £250,000 divided by 517 means a fine of £483.56 per game Rangers broke the rules. A further calculation would be required to reflect the size of the fine per player registered improperly. That figure could then be set against the penalties given to other clubs for single, genuine errors regarding player registration issues.

It seriously will be interesting to see how a registration error is handled in a Cup tie in future. They've been replayed or overturned before. The key claim will be that players somehow weren't ineligible in Rangers' case. It's thoroughly unconvincing though.
