More FFA Cup action tonight with 4 ties with the other 4 next week. Only 2 A-League sides in action tonight with Adelaide United at home to their old mates, Melbourne Victory. Home for this game will be the same as in the previous round v Newcastle Jets, Marden Sports Complex, home of recently relegated NPL side Adelaide Blue Eagles. A crowd of around 5,000 is expected. It's a good stadium by local (Adelaide) NPL standards and hosted 5 International games as part of the 2004 Oceania Cup/World Cup (2006) qualifiers. Australia defeating Fiji 6-1 with a Tim Cahill hat trick in the only Socceroos game there. There is an all Queensland tie with Moreton Bay United v Gold Coast City at Redcliffe, South Melbourne at home to Sorrento from Perth and the main TV game is between old NSL rivals Sydney United and Heidelberg United. Expect victory for Victory and also Sydney Utd, South Melbourne and no idea in the other so will say Moreton Bay but it won't bug me if they lose.

Victory absolutely hounded 3-0 by Adelaide. ADELAIDE!

And former Fort William player (apparently) Sean Ellis puts Heidelberg 1-0 up on Sydney Utd late in extra time

Ellis is a good player, so many talented footballers in the lower leagues here.

A 2nd division needs to come in, more path ways for professional footballers is needed in this country.
