Wild Winton Rover
As we are having a summer clear out, I wondering if anyone knows any organisation in Scotland who would take strips/boots for Africa or homeless charities etc.
Stillseekfedup
I tied to do this before and was told I had to deliver the kits to Edinburgh, ended up giving them to a local churches team.

TFW
There is a school of thought that says, quite clearly, that such acts of benevolence actually do more harm than good as they depress the clothes making small industries in the countries concerned. Troon Portland
We work with a charity called KitAid to donate strips to Africa. If you send the Trust an email I'm sure they'll be happy to assist. airdrietrust@hotmail.com We donated a number of bags of kit to Airdrie's Kit Aid last summer, great charity who distribute kit all across the world. Some of the stuff they've done the last few years has been tremendous, very worthy cause. If you contact douglas.allsop@airdriefc.com he can point you in the right direction. garrellburn
About fifteen years ago we did donate an old strip to a team in South Africa. It was done through a local man who was working out there at the time. Later we got a photograph of the guys in the strip, they ranged from skinny little waifs who looked about ten with the strip almost down to their ankles, up to a guy who was bigger than Bobo Balde with the strip as tight as a drum across his chest. Still it was good to see it going to good use. Later we got a request for boots but that one got knocked back, do they not play in bare feet out there?.
