Ashfield welcomed Irvine Meadow to the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium yesterday (15/7/2017) in a Pre-Season Friendly with the Glasgow outfit coming out on top 5-2 after a tremendous 20 minute period in the second half. It was great to see such a large travelling support from the Meadow. Match Report on the attached link:-

Big Gibby ( ball at feet in photo) is a scrapper he'll run all day.
Looking at your squad it could do with a couple of additions, 18 players for a season could take its toll on the team. Couple of injuries or illness maybe the odd hangover [emoji23]. Though I'm Glenafton through and through [emoji1303] I've at soft spot for your team. ( looking for their score on a Saturday [emoji41]

Ashfield put in an excellent shift against the Bankies for the first 70 Minutes yesterday however the home side stepped up a gear with 2 clinical finishes. Lots of positives to take as we prepare for the start of the League Campaign next week against Johnstone Burgh at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium.

Attached are Pics from yesterday`s Match at Clydebank:- https://flic.kr/s/aHsm2EZ2HQ

Agree there use matched us for 60-70 mins and played some really good football. Big hash had a good game in centre of midfield as did ur wee number 7 but his head seemed 2 go down once we scored. If use play like that in ur league games then use could have a good season. Aw the best

Mon the papers

Ashfield survived a very difficult encounter against a very spirited Newmains United at Victoria Park this afternoon. This Central League Division 2 is going to be a really exciting league this season. Match Report and Pics on attached link on Ashfield`s Website.

All the best to the `field on Saturday at Heathryfold Park, Aberdeen against Sunnybank FC.  We will be there to support and hope it`s as good as the last two trips to the North East (Culter 3-2 and Banks O`Dee 6-1). It`s not that long ago that Sunnybank were in the Senior Scottish Cup and after a terrific run eventually lost to Ayr United at Somerset Park after securing victories against Gala Fairydean and Albion Rovers.  The `field will be looking to replicate their early Season form........................`mon the famous !!

Here`s a picture of the last Ashfield Team to win the Scottish Junior Cup -
