Possible Matches:

R-Truth vs Goldust.

Finn Balor vs Elias Samson (Possibly just a Raw feud).

Brock Lesnar defeated long time rival Goldber at WrestleMania 33 to become the new WWE Universal Champion. He appeared briefly on the following night's Raw, but he has returned to his part-time status and has not defended his Championship yet. In his absence several WWE superstars expressed their interest in facing Lesnar upon his return. Braun Strowman was the most keen, but was sadly sidelined. Therefore Kurt Angle announced that a Fatal-5-Way Extreme Rules match would take place at the Extreme Rules PPV to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Universal Championship. Samoa Joe won that match and earned the right to face Brock Lesnar at the first ever Great Balls of Fire PPV.
The following night on the June 5th episode of Raw, Paul Heyman returned and was confronted by Samoa Joe. Heyman said that Joe was the worst case scenario for Brock Lesnar. Joe assured him that he does not fear Lesnar at all and wanted to face him. Samoa Joe told Heyman to take a message back to Lesnar, applying the Coquina Clutch to him in the middle of the ring. Later in the show we see Heyman on the phone to the WWE Universal Champion, advising him he needs to make his return.

On the June 12th episode of Raw, Brock Lesnar made his eagerly awaited return. Heyman said it was Samoa Joe's day of reckoning, they have a problem, and the greatest problem solver in WWE history was going to put it right. Joe then interrupted Heyman, marched straight to the ring and took the fight to Lesnar. A brawl erupted and the Raw lockeroom came out to break it up.

On the June 19th episode of Raw, Roman Reigns made his big announcement that he'd be facing the winner of Samoa Joe vs Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Joe came out and reminded him that although he might have beaten the other contenders in singles competition, he hadn't beaten Joe yet. A match between the two was scheduled for later in the show which was won by Joe. He locked in the Coquina Clutch thanks to the distraction of the returning Braun Strowman.

On the June 26th episode of Raw, as Brock Lesnar was making his entrance, Samoa Joe showed up behind him and locking him in a Coquina Clutch. Lesnar was close to passing out and other wrestlers had to pull Joe off of him. The following week on the go home episode of Raw, the two men had a split screen interview, they taunted each other before Joe decided to go looking for Lesnar. He found him but they were separated by other wrestlers.

Braun Strowman defeated Roman Reigns at the Payback PPV. After their match, Strowman continued to attack Reigns with the steel steps. On Raw Talk immediately after, as Reigns was about to be taken to a medical facility, Strowman appeared and attempted to attack Reigns further. However, Reigns retaliated by slamming an ambulance door against Strowman's arm multiple times. The next night on Raw, General Manager Kurt Angle addressed the conditions of the two and said that both were injured, but were not finished with each other.
The following week, Strowman, in an arm sling, said that after he was finished with Reigns, he wanted Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Later that night during Strowman's match against Kalisto, Reigns came out and attacked Strowman, targeting his arm with a steel chair.  It was then revealed that Strowman required surgery on his injured arm, and would be inactive for up to six months.
On the June 19th episode of Raw, Roman Reigns announced that at SummerSlam he'd face the winner of Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joe. Later that night during a match with Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns was stunned by the miraculous recovery and return of Braun Strowman. This distraction cost him the match and Strowman came down to the ring, hit him with a Reverse Chokeslam and then challenged Reigns to an Ambulance Match at Great Balls of Fire. The match was made official shortly after.

The following week, Reigns accepted the challenge and an ambulance appeared at the stage; Reigns went to investigate, but Strowman attacked and put him into the ambulance. On the go home episode of Raw, after Strowman defeated Apollo Crews he tried to put Crews into an ambulance. Roman Reigns was inside the ambulance and went on to attack the monster and eventually speared him off the stage through a table.

On the June 5th episode of Raw Seth Rollins called Bray Wyatt a "false prophet and wannabe martyr". Seth Rollins faced Samoa Joe later in the night and Bray Wyatt's distraction provided Samoa Joe with the win.

The following week Bray Wyatt cuts a promo basically saying that nobody will get away with tarnishing his name, just like Rollins did last name. Rollins comes out to clarify if Wyatt really cost him a match just because he called him a couple of names. Wyatt then says to Rollins that his power is more than anything he can fathom. Wyatt claimed Rollins may have slayed a king but a God lives on forever.

On the June 19th episode of Raw, Seth Rollins is out to tell everyone how great it is being the cover star for WWE 2K18. Bray Wyatt interrupts. Rollins says he's been around some of the most egotistical people in this business but lately Wyatt has been the worst. They exchange words and Rollins says Gods only exist in our minds. Wyatt may be a God in his world but he's nothing in Rollins' world. Wyatt says he warned Rollins, anyone to take his name in vain will be punished. Wyatt warned Rollins and now it's time to make a sacrifice. Now... he's here. Wyatt blows out the lantern and his music starts playing in the arena. Wyatt marches to the ring as Rollins waits. The lights come back on and Rollins, one step ahead dives from the ring, taking Wyatt down on the floor.

On the June 26 episode, Wyatt challenged Rollins to a match at Great Balls of Fire, which Rollins accepted. The following week, Rollins said that he would show the world that Wyatt was not a god and merely a coward. Wyatt, in a barren desert, also cut a promo and said that everything that had been happening on Raw since he moved to the brand was because of him.

The Miz became the WWE Intercontinental Champion for the 7th time by defeating Dean Ambrose at Extreme Rules. The following night on Raw he had his Intercontinental Title Comeback Tour. Miz & Maryse were paranoid all night about Dean Ambrose possibly appearing. Neither Miz or Maryse invited the bear along to the celebration, so Miz attacked the bear assuming it was Ambrose. It wasn't him. Miz then attacked a large box thinking he was inside. Inside the box was a grandfather clock Maryse had bought him. She stormed off and Miz blamed Ambrose, calling him out. Ambrose was of course the camera man and hit him with Dirty Deeds.

On the June 12th episode of Raw, Dean Ambrose faced Elias Samson. Samson picked up the win after The Miz and Maryse got involved. Later in the night, The Miz teamed up with a bear against Heath Slater & Rhyno. Miz takes the mask off Bear but it's not Ambrose as he thought. Rhyno puts Miz back into the ring and Slater drops him. Maryse checks on Miz as Bear comes back into the ring now. Bear kicks Slater and drops him with Dirty Deeds. It appears the man under the costume was switched out. Maryse tries to warn Miz. Miz faces off with Bear until he unmasks and we see Ambrose. Miz goes to run but Maryse accidentally gets knocked off the apron. Miz goes on about how he's sorry but she limps up the ramp. Miz turns around and charges at Ambrose but gets hit with Dirty Deeds.

On the June 19th episode of Raw, we cut to a backstage segment where Curtis Axel comforts Bo Dallas after his defeat to Finn Balor Earlier. The Miz appears and has a proposition for them, he wants them to become his entourage. The Miz hosted Miz TV where he makes his apologies for everything he's done to her over the past few weeks. There were 2 bears with signs there. Dean Ambrose came down to crash the party. Miz accidentally spilled Maryse's drink over ever. He turns round to attack Ambrose but misses, once again breaking the grandfather clock. Ambrose attempts to hit Dirty Deeds but Miz rolls out of the ring. The 2 bears attack Ambrose from behind, it's the new entourage Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel! Segment ends with a Skull Crushing Finale.

On the June 26th episode of Raw, Ambrose teamed with Heath Slater and Rhyno in a losing effort against the Miz-tourage. The following week on the go-home episode. Kurt Angle gave Heath Slater an Intercontinental Championship Match, which he lost. Now meaning Dean Ambrose will have his rematch against The Miz at the Great Balls of Fire PPV.

Cesaro and Sheamus defeated The Hardy Boyz at Extreme Rules in a Steel Cage Match to become 2 time WWE Raw Tag Team Champions. The following night on Raw, the new champions defeated Heath Slater & Rhyno. After the match they bashed The Hardy Boyz on the mic.

It was announced that Cesaro and Sheamus would defend their WWE Raw Tag Team Championship in a 2-Out-Of-3 Falls Match on the June 12th episode of Raw. The match was the main event of the show. Sheamus scored the 1st fall and Matt Hardy scored the 2nd fall. The match ended with a double count-out on the final fall as they brawled outside the ring.

On the June 19th episode of Raw, both Cesaro and Sheamus & The Hardy Boyz picked up wins. Cesaro and Sheamus won against Apollo Crews & Titus O'Neil. The Hardy Boyz won against Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson.

On the July 3rd episode, General Manager Kurt Angle announced that The Hardy Boyz would face Cesaro and Sheamus in one final match for the titles in a 30-Minute Iron Man Match at Great Balls of Fire. Also that episode, The Hardy Boyz joined on commentary for Bálor's match against Cesaro. Samson came out and tripped Bálor while Sheamus distracted the referee. The Hardys then came down to ringside to help and a brawl broke out between all six that ended with Bálor getting the win over Cesaro.

I'm not going to try and break down all that's been happening in the Women's Division as it's been a mess and not worth covering. We finally get some clarity when Kurt Angle booked a Gauntlet Match to determine who the #1 contender will be, facing Alexa Bliss at Great Balls of Fire. Sasha Banks won the match by defeating Nia Jax who had eliminated everyone in her path. Bliss confronted Banks after the match, Banks laid her out and posed with the Championship. The following week, Sasha Banks teamed with Bayley to defeat Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax. Banks made Bliss tap out, heading into Sunday with the momentum.

On the May 22nd episode of Raw, we cut to a backstage segment to see that Enzo Amore had been mysteriously attacked. The following week he was attacked again, creating a whodunnit scenario. The Revival were questioned after being spotted in the background of one of the shots following the attack. They of course claimed to have nothing to do with the attack.

On the June 5th episode of Raw, Enzo and Big Cass were scheduled to face Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Before the match, Big Cass was also mysteriously attacked backstage. This left Enzo needing a new tag partner, he went to Big Show and they won the match. After the match Big Cass confronted Big Show about the recent attack. Cass says Show has been gone for a few weeks and as soon as Enzo needs a partner, there he is. Cass says someone has been sneaking around attacking them, insinuating it's Show. Show says he's a giant, he can't sneak around.

The following week, Enzo and Big Cass were once again booked to face Gallows and Anderson. The music hits for Enzo and Cass but they don't show. The camera goes backstage and Cass is laid out once again. Enzo and officials rush to check on him. We see The Revival in the background walking by. Cass said he was taken out with 1 shot and it was the hardest he's ever been hit. He still went on to compete in the match and they lost.

On the June 19th episode of Raw, General Manager Kurt Angle said he'd get to the bottom of these attacks by the end of the night. In the closing segment of the show, Kurt went down to the ring calling out Enzo, Cass, The Revival and Big Show. Cass promises to take care of who's been attacking them when they find them. Kurt asked Big Show if he did the attacks seeing as Cass described it as being the hardest he's ever been hit. Show said he had nothing to do with it and left the ring. Kurt then ruled out The Revival by saying they had solid a solid alibi for each attack. Corey Graves then interrupts proceedings to share that Cass just lied about having a baseball-sized lump on his head after he was attacked. Graves says he talked to WWE medics and they never treated Cass. Cass says it wasn't the WWE medics, it was the local EMTs. Graves goes on and says he knows exactly what happened last week. Corey shares security footage from one of the nights he was attacked, which showed that nobody attacked Cass and he set it up himself. Corey then outright accuses Cass of attacking Enzo. "DAMN RIGHT I DID IT" he screams! He goes on to explain why and ends up hitting Enzo with a big boot.

On the June 26th episode of Raw, Enzo wanted Cass to come to the ring to talk things over. After a heartfelt speech of their friendship, Cass said that he was ashamed of himself for what he did. The two embraced in the ring, but on the stage, Cass attacked Enzo.

On the July 3 episode, Enzo cut his best promo yet and said that he would fight back and the two brawled until Angle separated them and made a match between them at Great Balls of Fire.

For weeks Titus O'Neil had been working on bringing Akira Tozawa into his Titus Brand. On the June 19th episode of Raw, Tozawa defeated TJP. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville then complained about being disrespected by Tozawa. Titus responded that Tozawa could beat Neville and, with his help, would become Cruiserweight Champion.[On the June 26th episode of Raw, Titus informed both Neville and Tozawa that he had negotiated a title match between the two at Great Balls of FireThe following week on 205 Live Titus hyped the Cruiserweight Championship match. Neville interrupted and said that Titus was only concerned with making money, and not the safety of his own clients, as demonstrated by the beat down Crews received from Braun Strowman on the previous night's episode of Raw. The Cruiserweight Championship match was moved to the pre-show

The official theme for this PPV is of course the 1957 Jerry Lee Lewis classic:

I'm away out so just posted what I've got, I'll be putting together R-Truth vs Goldest & Enzo Amore vs Big Cass sections when I get back. I am struggling to follow what's going on with the women and the cruiserweights. I have no desire to go back and watch any of it either so I'll just update those if/when they make matches official.

I really hope we get Neville vs Tozawa & Bliss vs Banks though. Tozawa will do great if he joins the Titus Brand!

This has actually shaped up to be a pretty good and well-built card.  Hard to see what goes on the pre-show though given we have 8 matches, including one that's going the 30 minutes.  Imagine Joe/Lesnar will go relatively short but still quite a lot of matches.  Looks like Enzo/Cass will go on the pre-show, which would be a shame.  I'd put Rollins/Wyatt there though, given it's probably going to be absolutely tedious.

Can't see pic?

Weird.  Anyway, it's Vince raging because you're telling him his big, beautiful sexy Cass isn't 7 feet tall.  He's seething.

He is 7 feet tall and you can't teach that. Reckon Wyatt might win this feud but he's still completely dead in the water as a prospect. Can't see any way back for him other than pissing off for a while and building some buzz for a comeback at some point.
