Jambomo
Myself and the OH are thinking of going away for a week or two next February. We are looking for somewhere reasonably hot (T-shirt weather would be fine) and cheap. Happy to go to most destinations but preferably not those where our heads might get chopped off or we get accidentally mixed-up in some kind of US friendly fire incident. Had a look online but can't seem to get a consensus on where will have decent weather so thought I'd ask the advice of P&B

Jambomo
Cheers folks. We do need something quite cheap so I think we'll take a look at the Canary Islands.
ftk
Cheers folks. We do need something quite cheap so I think we'll take a look at the Canary Islands. Good choice canary islands are warm all year. Tenerife is my favourite los christianos just next to las americas. Bit quieter and just a short walk or taxi ride to busier las americas.
welshbairn
If you want a normal Spanish city rather than a tourist resort I'd suggest Las Palmas on Gran Canaria. You can get a hotel on the beach combined with the city buzz. Worth checking out apartments as well.
