Amazing how quickly Raith fans have went from absolute meltdown and despair to chugging into the League One trophy

Maybe that is because we feel this season can't be as bad as last season and even though we were absolutely horrendous last season we were still better than Ayr

Yeah it's good that we're up against a town where their football team also plays second fiddle somewhat. Also we don't have the hopeless Locke or the dunderheaded 'Yogi' trying to manage us.

Forever in Fife flyers shadow.

This. We've punted out the useless Locke, and while Hughes gave us reason for optimism when he was appointed he was ultimately the same.

We've ditched half of the chances from our squad before who were taking up space: Skacel (too old), Roberts, Thompson, Johnstone and McHattie.

I've mentioned it a few times, but we've kept the core of the team that did well under McKinnon who underperformed last season. We've added two forwards who've scored a load of goals between them. Any team in our position would be enthusiastic. We need a few further signings, and it's still early days, but so far it's all positive.

Not going to hazard a guess at all the positions.

Raith will win it, probably quite easily. Ayr will be second.

Albion Rovers a will make the promotion play-offs.

Airdrie and QP fight out the bottom two spots.

Ayr have done some proper surgery to the team that got relegated, so hard to know exactly where we are.  Defensively we look weaker and up front we look stronger.  We've gambled on Moore again, but it's worth the risk given his obvious ability.  Geggan and Docherty in midfield looks solid, but McCall will no doubt refuse to play them together.  Which is probably our big issue-confidence in McCall

If we sign Ben Gordon, you could argue we'll be sounder defensively. Devlin as good as he was going forward, was not great at defending and Reid will be more solid at the back. Balatoni for me got away with murder with the support, could never be criticised. Centre back pairing of Gordon/Higgins would be great at this level and Boyle is exactly what you're after at this level for a left back.

To be fair Devlin was fine defensively bar one or two errors. Can't think of many getting the better of him. He spent the entire season trying to be our only attacking threat too.

Don't particularly disagree with the sentiment though, if we sign Gordon (not entirely sure where that's came from) with those two at fullback who don't particularly charge forward we probably will be more solid overall.

Would like to see a midfield three of Geggan, Adams and Docherty for a laugh one game too.

Any bookie running odds on us smashing the season unbeaten?

It's not if we win the league, it's more when.

Raith Rovers are clearly far too good for this division. Like Celtic, they should seek to join a superleague elsewhere in order to be fully appreciated and allow the rest of us to have a competitive season.
