foofoo45
Quick question...can a player who has been given a lengthy ban (2 years!) by the SAFA step up to Junior and swerve the ban? Apologies if this is common question which Ive missed.

HibeeJibee
What on earth did you do to get a 2-year ban: batter a ref or something? Even headbutts or spitting "only" seem to get a certain number of months. Or is it not your first major offence?
foofoo45
The player was reported for "throwing a punch". He is adamant that he did nothing of the kind but admits that he did adopt an aggressive attitude. He was on holiday in Tenerife when the hearing was held so couldn't give his version of events or produce the numerous witness statements in his defence. 2 years from any organisation is pretty drastic though. placidcasual
Two year ban for throwing a punch? Were you holding a machete at the time?

Wild Winton Rover
If the ban is for a specific timescale by an AFA this is recognised across the Associations as the suspension letter is usually worded quite specifically Banned from All football. However if it was a number of games i.e. an automatic suspension through the AFA, the player can go to play junior, however the suspension would still be served if the player returned to the amateurs.
