From the Dana White Twitter feed I saw, there was nothing in it! McGregor ended with his forearm on Paulie's neck, & was lining up a right uppercut, when Malinaggi lost balance, fell over & Cortez moved in. In a fight situation, it would be ruled a slip. But they have to try & build some interest in this thing.
JamieStevenson
Surely Paulie has to be nowhere near this event now. He's made a full on arse of it. Still raging on Twitter, what a mess.
kiddy
Just had a post on my timeline equating NMMA with Prince Naseem & linking to his knockout videos. Made me think of his fight with Barrera, then you find Cortez was the ref in that fight. Strange he's helping the Irishman abide within the rules in his camp? J_Stewart
Lomachenko v Rigondeaux could genuinely be happening on the 9th of December in New York. If that fight gets made, I'm going. ETA: wrong thread. What a knob. Can't be arsed deleting it. An actual fight instead of the pantomime one.
Armand 2
Don't know whether this has already been mentioned elsewhere in the thread but I heard a rather intriguing conspiracy theory the other night regarding the fight. Allegedly, Mayweather is in serious debt to the Vegas casinos and there has been talk of him taking a dive to cash in on the rematch. I'd take it with a large pinch of salt but nonetheless, I found it an interesting theory.

Floyd gets to make the most money he's ever made and get to the magical 50-0, whilst having the easiest night of his career. No conspiracies, no shady underground dealings, just Floyd Mayweather winning and making a fortune whilst making McGregor a very, very rich man in the process. Win-Win. LargsTON
Armand playing fast and loose with the term "interesting" there. Rumours surrounding Floyd's personal wealth have been circulating for months now so not as far fetched as it sounds.
Ludo*1
Rumours surrounding Floyd's personal wealth have been circulating for months now so not as far fetched as it sounds. Mayweather is set to make the biggest payday of his career, win, lose or draw. He'll easily be raking in excess of $100m for the fight so even if he was in debt, he'd be able to sort himself out without needing to take a dive. I should've pointed out I didn't mean he'd take a dive just that the debt stories may have a bit of truth to them. Mayweathers ego would never allow him to throw a fight. dogmc
Given his career earnings hed have to have some gambling habit to be in debt. That lack of talent at picking winners could put him in line for a gig on sportsound
The Moonster
Floyd was flashing $100M dollar cheques at the press conferences, surely he can just cash that in?
Fraser Fyvie
That's about as believable as Mayweather getting knocked out by Zab Judah in sparring.
J_Stewart
Floyd must really fucking hate Zab Judah, seems to have knocked him out clean in every camp Floyd has had in the last 5 years...whether he's actually been sparring him or not. Some trick that. Shame Zab couldn't replicate his sparring form when he and Mayweather actually fought.
