Sniffer it's really difficult to change parks at the last minute, take Bathgate game as you mentioned, there is no way they could get a bus hired at such short notice and the team that were away you need to go and buy food etc also maybe some Bathgate players were working till noon as playing at home , so it's more difficult than it looks.

Especially when you have a players wedding the same day! [emoji106]

It was all the usual suspects in the east region yesterday. Bathgate apart is unusual for such a good surface. I was in Dundee yesterday and the u12 girls teams were all coping well with the terrible conditions.

With Bankies game off yesterday went along to watch Blackburn v Glenrothes. First half was absolutely dire but Blackburn edged ahead just after HT only to be pegged back immediately by a smashing strike before an unfortunate OG won it for the home side with about 15 to go. Not the best game I've seen but was impressed with Blackburn centre half Calum Rarity- thought he had a fine game.

Blackburn Utd 2 Glenrothes 1

First half was a scrappy affair and pretty much a non-event. It livened up five minutes into the second half when a Brian Ross shot looped up off a defender and Richie Hutton reacted the quickest to nod the ball past the keeper. However Glenrothes equalised almost immediately with a shot from the edge of the box that also appeared to loop up over the keeper.  From then on it was a fairly open game with both sides having chances until 15 to go when another Brian Ross shot hit the post and bounced off the Glens left back into the net.

Not the prettiest of games for the neutral as Kilbowie mentions above, and Glens may feel they deserved a point from the game but as last week shows you don't always get what you feel you deserve.

Aberdeen East End 0 Blackburn United 6

A strong wind blowing across the park made the conditions difficult in the first half and it got even more difficult for East End after 15 mins when Richie Hutton was pulled back inside the box when through on goal and the No5 was sent packing. Craig Young converted the penalty. Ross Donnelly added a second on the half hour mark and then Brian Ross with a cross cum shot which the wind helped in wrapped up the first have scoring and the game as a contest.  Second half it was almost all one way with John Drummond, Brian Ross with his second and an Aaron Gowans strike completed the scoring.

Crowd was around the 65-70 mark, and given the proximity to Pittodrie, you knew when Aberdeen were beating Ross County.  Nice social club and great hosts.

Kirrie Thistle 0 St Andrews 1

A disappointing game played in a gale.

Saints got into some good positions in the first half but the only end product was a Scott Lawrie shot which went inches past the post while Kirrie had once chance which was blazed over the bar.

In the second half Lawrie had a shot brilliantly saved and then had a good penalty shout turned down, being booked for diving  to add insult to injury.  Saints made the breakthrough midway through the half when sub Hendry reacted first to a loose ball two yards out. For the remainder of the game Kirrie had plenty of possession but didn't manage a meaningful effort on goal as Saints had their first clean sheet of the season.

We're up to fourth in the table and now need to push on. With two home games coming up.

Tayport got robbed of all 3 points was never a sending off at the end as our player and a Glenrothes player ran into each and our player was sent off for a nothing challange and as for the last min pin Glenrothes got well that decision was one of the worst ever seen Taport player wins the ball clearly for everyone to see in the box Glenrothes player flies over his leg to the deck and gets a pen when it was a clear dive and should never have been a pen this shocking ref decisions are really costing Tayport this season

Aye he had a very poor game . Allowed too many reckless challenges from Tayport . One of your own players went off after injuring himself. Straight  red card was deserved for serious foul play on a youngster .  Very unsporting behaviour from Tayport.

Curly..... please stick to your day job as you are not a comedian. Thought I would take this game in as was in the area. This game was dominated by Tayport and with better finishing it could have been 7 or 8.... however, the clinical side of scoring was not there and it cost them dearly.

The sending off was never ever a red, the young lad slid in and was late but it looked worse than what it was and their number 11 should have been sent off previous for a kick on a Tayport player which resulted in the lad having to go off. He also repeatedly spoke back to the ref to no avail.....

Glenrothes huffed and puffed and were a little dangerous at set pieces but the worst decision I have seen in a long time came deep into stoppage time where the Tayport player got the ball in the box, there was then a tangle of legs and the guy fell.... to everyone's disbelief the ref pointed to the spot. I could even see the Glenrothes bench laughing so it tells you the decision was wrong. This again shows the lack of quality refs in the area and it's ruining games for both teams.

All in all, Tayport derserved all 3 points but Glenrothes will be the happier team as they got away with a point.

Didnt say tayport weren’t the more dominate side or not deserving of all 3 points but for you to say it could have been 7 or 8 shows who the comedian is smudger. As you point out though it was poor finishing that cost you dearly not the ref .   To say you just happened to be in the area was an even bigger joke because it is so obvious you and eastfife is best are one and the same. Don’t give up the day job pal.

I don't understand your last bit Curly, i have no association with anyone on here.

I didn't say that you had said that Tayport were not dominant or derserving 3 points?

So Tayport scored 1 in the first half, had 3 1v1's with a couple of longer efforts. Second half they scored 1, hit the bar twice, missed another 1v1 and again a few longer shots........ you have well and truly showed everyone the comedian is yourself. Incase you can't count that adds up to more than 8 very good chances.... which should have been scored if clinical.

Al be at the St Andrews game on Saturday so let's see what the verdict is then........ awra best
