Man City and Chelsea have a bottomless pit, Man United far more financial clout and Spurs are flying. IMO Klopp on his 5 year deal is very much there for the long haul. If so, prepare more more defensive calamities and seasons without trophies. Klopp will not admit that his defence is rubbish, even more deluded than Wenger. Imagine paying £35 million for Oxlade-Chamberlain in the last year of his contract!

7-2
When Giggs gets passed over for another two EPL jobs the penny might drop that he may actually have to get his finger out and start down the leagues if he wants to become a manager. They'd have just sat tight otherwise. Time will tell but he's shown a bit in the last few games. Klopp knows quite fine his defence hasn't been good enough he's not going to publicly say it though. He's tried to work with what he's got and missed out on his number 1 target decided to wait.

They’re also hardly a crumbling wreck and have what seems a pretty decent squad. It’s just a case of Koeman’s tactics not working and for whatever reasons, he’s been unable to inspire and motivate them. Was referring to the stadium. You've got to look to the past for both clubs winning trophies to be fair, Newcastle have a bigger support and were in the champions league much more recently. Fair enough we've been a yoyo of late and historically to a degree whereas Everton haven't. Not much in it though. Money is pretty much the only way to define size of club these days however. Rab B Nesbit
I see Everton as a bigger club than Newcastle too. Yes Newcastle have got the bigger stadium but they've yo-yo'd plenty of times while Everton have been in the top flight since 1954 only missing a couple of seasons overall. They've also won 9 League titles (3rd all time) compared to Newcastle's 4.
Latino Lover
As I say they generally have a better history but in the current state it's roughly sideways for almost anyone outside the big 6.
Bully Wee Villa
I think Everton have a Chairman who seems committed and has money to spend. Newcastle have a Chairman who wants out (and who is wanted out by the fans) and a lot of uncertainty over them. Of course, if Newcastle get some would-be Abramovich taking over, that's a different story. For the time being though, I'd much rather manage Everton than Newcastle. He was only assistant at Old Trafford because the board imposed him on Van Gaal. Mourinho was very quick to punt him.
