Bonnyrigg pen was dubious , our pen was dubious , 11 v 11 with 8 minutes to go , bonnyrigg indiscipline can't be helped when the little fanny of a coach with the wooly hat on gave it get it up you signals right in our staffs faces when BR scored the opener , I've never saw that type of conduct anywhere before even in the Ayrshire hotbed , he was a disgrace to be honest , game was scrappy on a glue pot pitch but delighted to come through it , best away day ever

What's not in dipute is Big Mark's goal on the 93rd minute.! Many Rose fans where I stood were extremely bias and non-conciliatory  in their judgement of the game;  every tackle by a Rose player was a good tackle and Beith players were play-acting at ajudged fouls. While every Beith tackle was ajudged to be vicious and deliberate.  I think the sticky park and slow acting lines-persons were much to blame for result of the game. The Ref. Had lost it at the end but Rose players equally 'lost it' . Never saw the incident with Rose staff at dugout but maybe that could explain the mentality of the Rose players in the second half. Everyone has their own opinion.

Sounds like you were in the dugout coach? Good first post eh.

Not a poster usually on this, but baffled by the the second penalty being disputed (see video). The boy who's kicked out on Docherty for the first red has ultimately changed the game in Beith's favour, and once the other lads been sent off for winging about the second pen (ref won't change mind after its been hit), the only thing coming was a beith winner.

Agree beith player could possibly have picked up a second yellow. But ultimately BR threw this one away, a decent team would have killed us off yesterday on the break as it was a well below par performance, but credit to the lads who never give up and grind out results when not playing their best. Got a feeling this could be beith's year again.

just watched highlights of this hard fought, typical junior cup match and should think bonnyrigg were hard done by the referee. It looked if beith were toiling to create clear cut chances and the penalty given was a joke, how can the ref  think the keeper had any need to foul the attacker, him being 5ft nothing and the keeper with his outstretched arms, the attacker simply went to ground looking for the penalty and the refs bought it.The first sending off is soft as well and the second. bonnyrigg  every right to feel  aggrieved at refs performance.

We are out just get on with it! Brett gave the referee something to think about over nothing! the pen don’t really think bryan had to come out for the ball although the Beith player made the most of it (most would at that stage of the game) Hoskins should know better when confronting the ref we’d have probably got the replay and defended the corner if he was on the park. Game could/should have been wrapped up before Beith came anywhere near threatening our goal, Kyle Wilson should have replaced wayno around the 60 min as the beith defence were tiring on a heavy pitch didn’t see any trouble at the end did have a enjoyable bit of banter with all the Beith lads in the shed who caused NO trouble whatsoever

It's a diddy cup anyway, much rather win the Fife and Lothian's!

Back to league business this weekend with a tough game at Broxburn on a pitch no one likes, important to take 3 points and keep the pressure on Linlithgow who have an equally difficult game at home to Penicuik who have a decent record through there I seem to recall.

Clearly heart felt empathy offered here as Talbot are for ever on the wrong end of refereeing decisions

At least the Beith supporters didn't trash the dug outs or blame the rose after they picked a fight with a hibs supporters bus and got a hiding!

They tried to charge into the wood throwing bottles and cans desperate for a fight got battered and blamed Bonnyrigg lol

Now the dust has settled I’m tending to agree with van and the gaffer - the referee had a shocking minute but we should have handled it better. Hard to criticise the players who have reached such high standards over a sustained period of time.

On the subject of the ref..... clearly had his own agenda - awarded auchinleck a last minute penalty v pollock in the junior cup last year and with hindsight he clearly wanted to make a name for himself and make some big decisions for the supervisor in the crowd.

Anyway...valuable lesson learned and hopefully Bo’ness, Lochee or Carnoustie will go on and win it. Onwards and upwards and we’ve a title to kick on for.

How anyone can say the Beith penalty was anything other than a stonewaller is quite amusing.

When slowed down on the replay, you can see it’s a clear pen. Not many refs would see that in real time nor have the bottle to give it. And Bonnyrigg received 4 reds as a result?

Me personally undecided if it’s a pen or not as I’ve said a don’t think Bryan has to come out like that and that he’s gave the referee a decision to make on the spot Beith striker made the most of it but wouldn’t blame him for doing that.

Now onto the form team in the league on the worst surface in the league minus our first choice defence Moyes, young, Hoskins, Brett and midfielder turner just have to roll out sleeves up and get on with it and we supporters must back them once again
