Dry your eyes ,best team won on the day. Candy lucky to have 11 players on the park. Keeper should have been sent off at end of match for violent conduct threatening old Rossvale pensioners and support. Wanting a square go and having to be restraint by candy management. Disgraceful scenes as referee was abused and threatened by gang of thugs at the changing rooms if this was in the street they would be lifted. SJFA need to stamp out this behaviour ITS JUST NOT ON[emoji107][emoji849]

No tears here. Maybe that's why yous won as we had 11 on the park haha.
Ask your committee for their comments on the Ref as they agreed he was shocking. He missed several decisions for yous too.
Yes our keeper needs to reign it in but if folk want to dish out the abuse and threats then they need to be able to take it back. The joys of junior football.
And I am sure this was the same person who came under the barrier and tried to get on the pitch and had to be told by your fans to get a grip and get back over onto the terrace.
And even McGlad admitted to me he dived more for the pen. Which was a pen even without the extra theatrics.
But hey if you need to act more to help get a win then crack on.
We are the candy faithful. Back our team win lose or draw.

It was a good game and the candy played some nice football. How can a referee officiate a game when you get abused constantly even when you get it right. I felt for the young referee today no win situation. Yes he was effected by the candy crowed but the abuse, no ref would have a good game. He had to run the gauntlet of thugs [emoji107] at the end of match. all for £80 no thanks. Maybe the candy get the referee performance some their support deserve. Love the Clubhouse tribute to a legend [emoji106][emoji517]

Are you joking jald

The referee was an absolute disgrace today

Influenced by the candy support ?

Is that why he booked virtually the entire candy team and gave Rossvale a cheap penalty and an offside goal and had 2 stonewall penalties for candy turned down

Heaven forbid we got a ref who was not influenced by us if that's what we get when one that is influenced by us

Did you fans boycott the game today as we had more outside your ground earlier this season than you brought today ?

Anyway you always seem to be on here shouting the odds about the big bad candy fans so I suspect you post is only to antagonise anyway .

I see no response to your fan attempting to enter the field of play. Usual the big bad candy boys done all the bad things. Gauntlet of thugs? You mean the que of people who wanted into the clubhouse to warm up and have a drink after the game and booed the Ref due to their disgust of is below par officiating.
Also some of the shout from your bench and fans for "assault" on yes a late tackle but there was no malice in it at all your player was just quicker to the ball. Those shouts were ludicrous.

Jald there is a recurring theme to your posts on here which is the constant slander of the candy support .
I suspect it's nothing more than sheer jealously of what the fans and the club have achieved off the field in the last few years and the fact our home attendance for a single match is probably more than you get supporting Rossvale for the entire season .
It clearly sticks in your throat to see what our club is becoming and has the potential to be .
So today we lost the battle but not the war and folk like you inspire me to work harder and do more to ensure our success absolutely sickens begrudgers like yourself

You got me wrong I highlighted how well the club house is looking and how well the candy played in spells. If you want respect for your club then behave like a junior club. dignity in defeat costs nothing but gains respect. Rossvale are a young club and maybe after 100 years they could have descent crowds

Your in denial, eventually some referee will get seriously attacked and it will be to late for the candy. Open you eyes before it’s to late

What an absolite load of mince

The ref could have done with linos today but couple of big decisions went against us - shit happens

But to say the ref was threaten ed  is just lies - he was booed going into the enclosure.

Your fan was making lewd comments to our goalie who confronted him at end of game - maybe you should look at your own fans

Everyone at St Rochs congratulated Rossvale on and off park today as results dont  lie so today best team won

Just a question but do Rossvale Juniors get funding from the kids teams who pay to be coached - have heard this to be true but not sure of autbenticity?  If true yous will be top club in 100 years

the juniors are on their own can and all funding is down to them

surprised at result today as rossvale struggled against shettleston last week

no probs ...its an easy assumption to make and rumours to go behind it

I only know this when my boy was involved with them for several years and now my wee girl plays for them and the mrs is in charge of the dough for the girls and any chance that 1 pence of  that money going to the juniors she would batter f**k out them

I love what the candy do and what they are about

Some dignity in victory is something you lot must learn before pointing fingers and demanding respect .
The fact remains that the only treatment the ref received was being booed by the punters after what was a shameful performance so hardly the actions of thugs as you earlier claimed.

Maybe he means management tripping up players whilst the game is going on whilst 3-0 up ? That’s how you win with dignity [emoji106]

Anyway enough of this nonsense
Today was an enjoyable match
While wearing my green tinted glasses I thought the first half we were poor and Rossvale deserved to be in front at half time but the second half saw a huge improvement and with rab maguire coming on to a game we started to play some good football and only some smashing saves kept the scoreline 0-1.
Yesterday Scott asked the question are we are better side after the recent transfer dealings and on today's second half display I would say yes
The midfield now has balance and reece and rab just now need game time to bed in .
Defence wise we looked pretty solid after a poor 15 min spell at the start of the game and in big starky we have one of the best keepers in the junior game upfront we will do ok with the pace of young maguire and big millar has the ability to lead the line and I like the look of the new lad that came in a couple of weeks ago and once he finds his feet he will prove an asset during this campaign.
So yes the rebuilding has taken a little longer than expected but we can start to see the fruition of what the gaffer is trying to achieve despite a few setbacks in recent weeks .
It's my firm belief that come the business end of the season we will be firmly in the mix for promotion.

Rossvale support? Is that  what that was called. One man and a dug. If you want to talk conduct your players are foul mouthed wee bams.

We'll see how the league table lies at the end of the season. Up the Candy.

The “threatening gang of thugs” quote regarding the full time whistle walk back to the dressing room by the referee may be harsh but I can see why the guy said it. It wasn’t great and despite big Stevie, the high vis jacketed steward, leading the way and basically escorting the ref into the changing room it was ugly to say the least and as that lad described at worst. He has a point in my view and I was there watching some right bad and uncalled for behaviour. We have had incidents before and the lad is right in flagging this up as a problem as believe me, all it needed was one guy to go a bit further and the club would have been in serious serious trouble.

Whether the ref had a bad game or not is immaterial to the facts. No one is going to criticise any junior fan for giving the ref dog’s abuse. I’ve heard some great put downs come from the mouths of red cheeked and smoking eared fans who if they were under a rocket could launch it into space. To those of us who get a little less animated it can be funny at times and although probably “not right” I suspect most refs know it is coming. The unique set up of the St Roch’s changing area lends itself to this potential threat and the club made changes after an incident last season which have helped and I know there are further changes planned to remove this threat altogether. The changes we made would have made the “right in your face” confrontation impossible... I’m not convinced it worked yesterday. There are simple improvements that could be made (maybe not improvements, more like enforcement) and I’m going to suggest them to the club. The guy has a point and just because the ref had a poor game by all accounts doesn’t mean that his walk off the park shouldn’t be as safe as possible. Fans will be fans and fans and players who overstep the mark are just simply fans and players who overstep the mark. The fact they are St Rochs fans and players doesn’t lessen the fact or make it untrue. It wasn’t great so let’s stop kidding ourselves. Standards lads, standards.

As for the game, again I only watched the last 20 minutes having taken in a Scottish Cup miss match as StMirren went 7-0 up after 35 minutes as my core temperature dropped with every goal. I headed west young man with 25 to go and caught the last wee bit of the Candy as they tried to get an equaliser. I actually though we played well for the time I saw with Keiran Martin doing well and young Maguire very effective and for me playing his best 20 minutes I have saw him have in a St Roch’s shirt. I had a wee chat with him after the game and complimented him on his effort and busy-ness and work rate and effectiveness. Pointless being a busy fool. You can fall into that trap if you have pace to burn. As he gets older and learns and listens to the coaches he will understand what makes him a threat and effective and use that knowledge to do the right things at the right times to benefit the team and play well. You can score 3 in a poor team and play poorly and score none at a good standard and play well. That was the first time I have saw him look a little more grown up and he deserves praise. I hope he keeps doing it. Well done. As for the Rossvale, I thought they looked disciplined and organised and strong in key areas. Their keeper made a couple of decent saves that I saw and of course there was a late late penalty appeal which infuriated so many. I’ve seen them given is all I would say. It didn’t look nailed on to me though. But then again what do I know??? I don’t look at the game with my Candy glasses and Park reality aside. I don’t look at every decision that goes against us as part of a conspiracy. Most of the decisions that go against us anyway are the right ones. On my 20 min balance I thought we were somewhat unlucky and we could have nicked a point. C’est La Vie and Ça c’est Me. The final whistle was greeted like a cup final win by the Rossvale players and bench. A local derby is a kind of cup final. Good luck to them for the rest of the season. A decent club who are, just like the Candy, trying I think.

As the temperatures drop my football heart gets warmer and I am in love with the game again I admit. I know I don’t go mental at games and don’t display the skewed eyes and opinions of some immersed fans who won’t see a throw in given against their team let alone a penalty appeal refused or a better team beating you... that doesn’t mean I don’t care though. Just because I try to tell the truth as I see it (I accept totally I may be wrong) or describe things colourfully in a non football manner or talk pish as some say, I just talk with my heart and start typing and let out whatever football love comes out. I try to see the good in all, I see the hopes and dreams of your biggest ever Scottish Cup tie and the biggest game you will ever play in dashed into despair after half an hour. They will still tell that story to their mates for the rest of their life though because I know I do the same. I see the starting shoots of a decent player bud into life with colour and promise. I see the passions and pain of fans and I know how they feel and why they feel it. The one I love has done this to me and she does it to us all. Damn that Foxy Football.. when will we ever learn? Never I hope.
Mon the candy!
