Redrawing the line even further north just makes a bigger mockery of the pyramid.  If the SFA are intent only on splitting by land mass they're creating a completely distorted pyramid where competition in the north is non existent compared to the south.

On demographics you could draw the line across the country from the Kingston Bridge and shove north and east Glasgow in with Wick.

Of course that's daft, but no dafter than the current bollocks.

Scotland MUST have a 3 way split as a minimum when regionalising.

A 3 way split is only going to happen which there's a strong enough presence from the West of Scotland. For a while I thought it was more likely we would see a Lowland League 2 and that's almost what we're getting with EoSFL possibly adding a Glasgow area team in Clydebank and having had links with Gretna/Annan/Threave/Dalbeattie in the past.

Unless there's a major shift in attitude at the SFA and SPFL, I suspect the LL (West) and LL (East) wont happen anytime soon and the only way to change that is to do so from within with West clubs already inside the Pyramid.

Whether we like it or not, it probably will be upto the clubs in the West to take matters into their own hands to form a WoSFL, and its said that the EoSFL are willing to help facilitate this so although far from ideal, there is an avenue to pursue for those clubs who are willing.

The dividing line got moved to the North Esk, which is a few miles north of Montrose, so all junior and senior clubs in Angus and Perthshire now fall into the Lowland League catchment.

It wasn't moved. It was always that latitude, but had been reported as north of the Tay mistakenly and taken as gospel

Not really arguing with you, if you are the guy that has posted that previously in response to one of my posts on the subject, but what I find difficult to believe with that narrative on events is that it wasn't clarified publicly by the SFA when the media were stating Montrose would wind up in the Highland League if they lost the playoff against Brora Rangers. It makes much more sense to have the boundary just north of Montrose and allow the HL to stick to its original catchment and Tayside clubs to look to the central belt as they have traditionally preferred, so either way it's good that the location of the line has been clarified/modified.

Setting a line of latitude is just daft, whether it's Tay or Esk: it would've made more sense just to say Angus was Lowland area or Highland area or whatever. If they were going by junior districts, then Montrose Roselea have thrown a spanner in the works now.

Looking at kefc's post over in the East of Scotland forum, 3 definite applications from East Junior clubs plus a further 4 have held meetings and decided to move.

So a minimum of 7 moving maybe more if Bonnyrigg vote that way. The end is nigh for Junior fitba.

Third Lanark (Amateur) FC website states that the club intends to join the Juniors (no timescale), albeit as part of the club's long term aim is to become a senior club (again). Currently it has an excellent youth section, and the adult team is already successful the Greater Glasgow Premier AFL.  Apparently Thirds are ground sharing at Vale of Clyde FC.

As it stands 3 clubs have officially applied to join next season by filling in and handing in their application forms to the EOS League, all 3 are East Junior clubs, 1 from the Superleague (a club not really been mentioned on here), 1 from Premier and 1 from the South division.

Another 4 (not including Bonnyrigg) Iv heard have all had Committee/Member meetings and voted in favour of joining the EOS for next season, mixture of Junior Superleague and Premier Division clubs, it’s going to be very interesting over the coming 2 weeks.

The east superleague club that have applied and have not been mentioned are probably not Bonnyrigg (yet to have their EGM) or Bo'ness United, so that's a bit of a bombshell. The premier club would be Dalkeith obviously, and the South division club might be Edinburgh United?

If its a team not already mentioned than logically the Superleague club will be Sauchie - stand and covered enclosure already in place (not sure if it has lights) so a massive headstart in terms of getting a licence and they are a club that has ambition off the field to improve the club.

Just speculation on my part at this point and logic is of course a pile of pants if you are not Spock.

In the East anyway, if this transpires then there's no going back. I said months ago the trickle would eventually turn into a flow, thought it might take 2-3 seasons, looks like it's taken 2-3 months. Quite incredible really but perhaps illustrates the dissatisfaction with the SJFA.

So it's now 2 weeks since the closing date for the SJFA Pyramid survey.

How long does it take to count up a 100 or so replies.

There's a SJFA Management meeting tomorrow night (Thursday) at Hampden so surely the survey results will be discussed there and any outcome should appear in the minutes if there's not an announcement (or a leak) before that.

Hypothetically speaking, if there ever was a vote of no confidence in the SJFA leadership, who would it be aimed at? Do the membership have any say in who runs the show beyond electing the office bearers?
