Scotland MUST have a 3 way split as a minimum when regionalising. A 3 way split is only going to happen which there's a strong enough presence from the West of Scotland. Unless there's a major shift in attitude at the SFA and SPFL, I suspect the LL (West) and LL (East) wont happen anytime soon and the only way to change that is to do so from within with West clubs already inside the Pyramid. Whether we like it or not, it probably will be upto the clubs in the West to take matters into their own hands to form a WoSFL, and its said that the EoSFL are willing to help facilitate this so although far from ideal, there is an avenue to pursue for those clubs who are willing. LongTimeLurker Posted March 14, 2018 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Not really arguing with you, if you are the guy that has posted that previously in response to one of my posts on the subject, but what I find difficult to believe with that narrative on events is that it wasn't clarified publicly by the SFA when the media were stating Montrose would wind up in the Highland League if they lost the playoff against Brora Rangers. It makes much more sense to have the boundary just north of Montrose and allow the HL to stick to its original catchment and Tayside clubs to look to the central belt as they have traditionally preferred, so either way it's good that the location of the line has been clarified/modified. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Setting a line of latitude is just daft, whether it's Tay or Esk: it would've made more sense just to say Angus was Lowland area or Highland area or whatever. drs Posted March 14, 2018 Share Posted March 14, 2018 If its a team not already mentioned than logically the Superleague club will be Sauchie - stand and covered enclosure already in place (not sure if it has lights) so a massive headstart in terms of getting a licence and they are a club that has ambition off the field to improve the club. I said months ago the trickle would eventually turn into a flow, thought it might take 2-3 seasons, looks like it's taken 2-3 months.
