When you look at LTHV's fixture list your realise that a fixture list published at the start of the season is very much a work of fiction.

Clubs will have their own reasons for being for or against EoS and the Pyramid, and that's fair enough, but trying to find reasons that don't exist dont do whatever side of the argument you are on any good.

LTHV are 1 team among 44 in the SoS, EoS & LL (same guy does them all and had done fur a decade) having fixture issues because they have issues with their council putting the park off. It is an issue, no doubt, and one that is a difficult one for them.

But trying to sell that as "fixture lists published at the start of the season are a work of fiction" removes any credibility for whatever argument you are trying to make.

I can tell you, having spent nearly 3 years in one of those leagues, fixture lists are not only achievable at that level, they're brilliant for someone with a family trying to plan their season.

LTHV are the exception, not the rule.

Since there are already teams which choose to play outside the pyramid and which have been licensed one really needs to ask why the SFA chose to be vindictive and call a halt to it.  Maybe it was something to do with the whipping the juniors were handing out the non-league seniors in the Scottish Cup and the danger of even more whippings being handed out if more juniors were licensed.

Licensing is about facilities, management etc.  If a team chooses to play in a subsection of the SFA - ie SJFA  it should have no bearing on whether or not it is licensed.

Thankfully it looks as if the SFA is realising this.

If TJ manages to bolt his clubs on to  the pyramid it will be the end of the “grade” anyway.

He might get to administer his leagues but they will have to align with the rest of the pyramid and be under SFA rules.

I don’t think there is anything strange at all with the Carnoustie statement, the only strange thing is burnieman constantly on this forum talking shite, always belittling and degrading the junior game.
On a good note tho Blackburn and burnieman won’t be on here next season thank f**k, he’ll be saying sh*te on the EOS league forum and now they’ll be 3 people on that one[emoji12]

I think Carnoustie did vote FOR the pyramid when the survey went out (according to the spreadsheet on here at least), but as you say they’re pretty much in limbo as regards where they would move to at the moment. Given there’s talk of clubs applying for the EoS who are currently West region clubs, it would be interesting to see what would happen if Carnoustie (or Lochee or Broughty or anyone else from this neck of the woods) were to stick in an application.

No, fixtures are issued at the start of the season upto the end of March, then around the turn of the year the remaining fixtures are scheduled.

It's all about the MONEY ££££££££££££££££££££££££££ and getting a one off pay day against an SFL team if your extremely lucky.

It certainly isn't the standard of football, Punters like to see competitive football not the rugby scores that Kelty have achieved this season in the Beazer League.

13-0 and 11-1 v Eyemouth, 11-1 and 9-0 v Tweedmouth, 10-0 v Newton Stewart, 12-1 v Peebles and another seven occasions where they have won by 7 or more goals and that's not counting the fours and fives.

The Kelty  and LTHV league is basically down to their games against each other and whoever the winner plays from the SOSL to enter the Lowland League.

nice facilities in the EOS, shame about the quality.

Common sense dictates that you leave some weeks blank for postponements/rescheduling. With the winter weather we had it's a minor miracle that only LTHV have struggled to get over the line in time.

I completely understand Carnoustie and other Tayside club's issues with the direction of travel. What I don't understand is the 'bitter' side of things where EoS applicants are being called selfish, only interested in money etc...how dare these clubs have ambition and want to improve their facilities, and thereby overall offering (inc youth)? Baffling.

Why should clubs who don't want to be part of the senior leagues get a licence and be part of the senior Scottish Cup?

I'm guessing people arguing in favour of that also support opening the junior cup to senior teams?

The SFA's RESPONSE to TJ's pyramid letter (which he announced he would be sending  after he met with junior clubs), is essential to verify what he is claiming. Let's see if  he will produce and circulate  it.  Otherwise this is nothing more than (verbal) smoke and mirrors.

Have any applicant clubs contacted the SFA directly about this? Might be worth contacting the CEO directly so he can confirm either way. If he has agreed to what TJ says, surely this is important to know ASAP this week?
