Burnie_man
Apologies for that. Didn't know you ran the show! Need to be more careful next time. I don't run the show but this thread clearly isn't the one to discuss Musselburgh's prospects. Jeezo.
Toffee fan
I don't run the show but this thread clearly isn't the one to discuss Musselburgh's prospects. Jeezo. Take a chill pill Burnie. Hope you enjoy your game of footie this afternoon. If your team wins hope the tension drips away! Or is that what you are anxious about?
Burnie_man
A wee bump so AlanfaeCamelon can bump his gums about the pyramid without making an erchie of himself on the Kelty Hertz thread.
calmac25
Be interested to know in Alan thinks that Easthouses have made a mistake going from 1point from Scottish cup entry, challenging for honours and 25 seats from a fairly compliant SFA ground to being mid table in the bottom league and holding out for a cup draw against one of the bigger teams? They're never going to win anything in the juniors so why bother?

LongTimeLurker
2-2 for the Shire against Civil Service Strollers. Looks like there's going to be Lowland League fitba in the Falkirk area for a while.

Looks like there's going to be Lowland League fitba in the Falkirk area for a while. The security was the most enjoyable thing at the match. The boy walking round like mi-5. The boy telling a woman to get her feet off the seat and him telling the disabled guy it's a criminal offence to have a plastic bottle of juice. Laughable and that's progress.I've been to shire a couple of times mostly coz of the camelon connection few ex players and management team

Didn't say they won't. I only played devils advocate what would happen if they didn't. Yous just see what you want to see.

Burnie_man
In light of the shambles that was the Quadrangular Tournament, ie crazy fixture scheduling, wholesale cancellation of West fixtures, very poor attendances out with the last Scotland game and not even basics such as a programme or teamsheet/line-ups, has this changed anyone's opinion in the West who were sceptical about change/pyramid? Still no Junior Cup sponsor either. We are being badly let down.

Still no Junior Cup sponsor either. We are being badly let down. To be fair I don't think the SJFA's not being able to conjure up a tournament programme is going to change anyone's mind on the way forward. They badly misjudged both clubs' and punters' attitudes towards the tournament; had it been arranged for later in the season - maybe over the Easter weekend as it was previously - crowds would have been a lot better, but losing a whole weekend's fixtures just before the bad weather no doubt sets in seemed ill-judged at best. I don't think anyone's sceptical about the need for change in the West, and we came a bawhair away from effecting some important changes in the close season, however as things stand at the moment there isn't any workable pyramid over this side of the country, although someone will almost inevitably come on and argue that the SoS league in fact covers the West. It doesn't - either geographically or playing standards-wise. This season has been interesting thanks to Kelty blazing the trail and illuminating just how poor the non-league senior standard is below the LL...if they can manage double figures virtually every week against the ostensibly stronger EoS league, one can only imagine what carnage a Pollok or Talbot would wreak on the school playing fields of D&G against the SoS were they to join.
