Dundee Utd
St Mirren
Dunfermline
Falkirk
Livingston
Inverness
Queens
Dumbarton
Morton
Brechin

C'mon now. What did we say about smoking crack on a school night?

Not going to predict the league just yet, far far too early.

What can be predicted though is if this thread gets up to 30 pages only 2 maybe 3 posters will be anywhere close to being correct come end of next season. The common mistake most make is basing their predictions on the previous season especially the form of certain clubs in that last 10 or so games.

Lordy this thread is a mess. It really does all depend on our recruitment and everyone else's. Second should certainly be the aim, as I'd expect United to be favourites for the league, though they still have a hell of a rebuild to do. There's no reason we shouldn't make the playoffs, and I'd be very disappointed if we regressed. An interesting league next season though, would expect it to be very competitive.

Wait until the season starts we've got our very own tetra in our ranks by the looks of it now,

Need to see where everyone is at the start of the season.  I'd hope we push on for the playoffs you'd expect UTD to be favourites before a balls is kick

There are only a few clubs that could actually put something resembling a first team on the park at the moment.  Further, how new signings fit in and gell is an unknown so the league is totally unpredictable at the moment any expectations set out by people is based purely how clubs have performed (with different personnel) in previous seasons, the "size" of the club and usually, bias towards their own team.

Dundee United are the biggest club in the league but there is no way they have a squad approaching Hibs of last season, nor does anyone else.  Just from their size they should be favourites but they are also somewhat financially strapped.  Beyond that, you expect part time Brechin to struggle and Dumbarton need to sign a lot of players still so can they put a part time squad together that will survive?   Both of these teams might surprise us all so its just a big unpredictable lottery at the moment.

  1. Dundee United - I think they'll just be too strong for anyone this season similar to Hibs, Sevo and Hearts when they were here. Some good signings so far
  2. Falkirk - In a strong position based on last season and with a few key signings, will be up there but don't see them winning it
  3. St Mirren - We've held onto the majority of a very strong squad and signed some very promising players. Likely some sell on transfer money coming in to strengthen further
  4. Dunfermline - Seemed to finish pretty strong and will probably have a decent budget to strengthen in the right areas
  5. ICT - Don't see them handling the fall very well and think a smaller player pool will struggle with traveling, may be seen as a scalp by other teams
  6. Livingston - Used to winning last season, kept some of their better players and can see them having a respectable return
  7. Morton - Lets be honest, they've been punching last two seasons. Big rebuild job and not setting the world on fire with signings. will likely use loan market a lot though
  8. QOS - As above, very hot and cold last season as well. Can see them falling away a wee bit. Tricky place to go right enough
  9. Dumbarton - Always going to be flirting with the drop, with the rebuild job might need a play-off to keep them up
  10. Brechin - Don't see them doing much at all to be honest, wouldn't be surprised if they were down by February/ March

Quite comfortable with how the team is looking so far to know that we won't struggle.

Good threads, these. We're in the the middle of June and already we have some people making bold predictions with little substance to base them on, and the subsequent ragers that pile onto the mere mention of their team being predicted to finish lower than they'd like.

As usual the only guarantee is the majority of people looking a bit foolish in a few months time when league takes an altogether different shape.

With that out the way you c***s are well underestimating The Famous. Have a word.
