Great performance from the blues today, but does nothing for our Premier League,if Thistle are top 6 in Scotland WOW.Difficult to tell in the first half especially who the Premier League side were with Stranraer creating the best chance,Morgan Neill being inches away from a tap in.The performance today was all we wanted and sets us up nicely for League 1.I don't what all the fuss is about time wasting,if Thistle were drawing 0-0 against one of the big teams they wouldn't exactly rush things,it's been going on for decades and every team does it,I'll wait and see if Thistle do it this season,if they don't I'll apologise, home fans don't like it against them simples.

Highlights of today:

#1 the goal- I'm not being disingenuous. I thought we were fucked as I had no belief in us to win on penalties. Christie specialises in relief goals (ignoring the one against Celtic)

#2 the Stranraer player flat out on his front having enough time to play a headed pass while lying on the ground

#3 the absolute incandescent rage in the JHS at every goal kick for Stranraer between minutes 10-87. I liked that men in their 50s were giving the keeper the finger after full time when it clearly meant f**k all to him, yet if we're (stay with me here) 1-0 up against Celtic the TC handbook will be getting its full runout.

First half was grim, as much as Bannigan and Osman is a fine centre mid pairing  at Premiership level you could have lost count of the amount of times today we passed Cerny-Barton-Devine-Elliott-Bannigan-Osman-Bannigan- punt to somewhere as there's nothing there to break a team down. Stranraer had the best chances from set pieces.

Second half we were better although my membership of the Ryan Edwards fan club is as far away as ever. Came on, pointed a lot, nearly got caught on the edge of our box twice, missed a 5 yard pass to Booth by 10 yards. Moving Osman back to CB was understandable but something I never hope to see again.

McLaughlin did more in 10 minutes than Nisbet in 50. Harsh audition but he failed it, you could see the difference in movement when Doolan came on.

A career in sports journalism surely awaits.

Watched the game in Jagzone. Nesbit had a big chance today. And he looked very ordinary. Didn't take it. No energy and very little in way of breaking down a lower league defense.
We need another option in other than Doolan or we're in trouble this season.

Fanciest footwork I saw from Griffiths at Livi was when he kicked the advertising hoardings at Firhill after taking it tight off the Jags fans. Injured himself and had to sheepishly walk the length of the pitch back to the changing rooms. Glorious sunny day too.

Awful game. 1-0 after a handball at Liam Fox from 2 yards. A seething mess from the other end of the pitch, so I was.
