Was it unconscious?
Did he not explicitly connect it to the notion of 'Calamity', or was that your own impressive work in difficult circumstances?


I unfortunately own the 'calamity' reference. But I'm sure it was a subconscious slur, possibly curtailed by his commentary role.

Was the "not Doris' day" thing, a genuine accident do you think?  If so, it's a very happy one.
