From the outside looking in I hope it all goes smoothly and all Celtic fans travelling over get back safely.  I reckon after the game the police will escort the Celtic team bus to the airport whilst they will do the same with Celtic fans to the airports and ferry port.  The Orange Lodge members have always been fine imo, the trouble comes with the idiots who tag along for the marches.

The police had better start organising it all just now.  There's no way Linfield are going to slip up to a team from San Marino.

I do not understand why some Celtic fans seem to be worried about the possibility of trouble if they end up facing Linfield. They are after all, TGFITW beloved by everyone as evidenced by the fact that there has never, ever, ever, ever been any bother involving them no matter where they have roamed. Belfast is a lovely City, lovely people. I would recommend the Sandy Row Rangers Club for a good football themed night out, and there is a smashing wee café at the bottom of Shankill Road that does the best Ulster Fry for the morning after.

On a more serious note, I predict that security for this one will be so tight, the nearest the Celtic support will come to a Linfield fan will be in the stadium. I would imagine the ferry companies will lay on extra services to cater exclusively for the travelling support.

Did Linfield beat La Fiorita?

No, not yet, but we should and, if we don't, then we need to have a good long hard look at ourselves.

After yesterday's crushing disappointment with this draw I am starting to get sick of the Armageddon type hype already, especially in the Sun and the Record (they even state that we haven't progressed in Europe since 1994 when even a cursory glance at wiki or the Blues web site would show we have progressed five times since then). Not that we'll be progressing this time mind:thumbsdown.

I don't think there will be any trouble on a grand scale as the PSNI are capable of keeping warring tribes apart, never mind football fans. Sure, there will be horrible songs getting aired and lots of vitriol on display but, if managed carefully, I am hoping the game will pass off without a war. Hopefully away fans will be limited at both games to make it even easier to manage. I'm still hopeful of an 11th July game at Windsor Park, albeit with an early kick-off.

How many does Windsor Park hold?

Jake, quite clearly, needs better pals.

Just found this bunch of charmers,

http://www.talkceltic.net/forums/threads/celtics-champions-league-season-17-18.144692/page-24

One of them is even working out the religion of the Linfield team by their surnames. Two by his "calculations".

A shower of roasters.

Speaking of Celtic fans living in the past, there's a chap on page 26 who is advising Celtic fans to get the Seacat (went bust in 2004) from Troon to Cairnryane (both in Scotland). I think he means Troon to Larne, but that stopped in 2015.

Forget about living in the past, how does it feel living in the future? Page 26??
