Yes, a new sponsor is good.
However, new strips within the coming weeks.
What the f**k?

New kits to be in a few weeks???

Welcome change from waiting until a week before our 1st League Fixture.

Right troops, here's the script:

  • We're 9th: level on points with 10th (six goals better off), ahead of 11th by four points (14 goals), and 12th by six points (five goals).
  • We still have to play Dundee, St Johnstone and Motherwell; we have a decent record against two of those sides this season.
  • Motherwell have bigger fish to fry (the Scottish Cup), but I can hardly see them downing tools - they didn't today.
  • St Johnstone have been plodding along recently, but our record against them this season has been abysmal. Can we bring out the old cliché of, "we're due summit against them"?
  • The Dundee match is fucking massive, and I don't really think either side will be happy with a point - Thistle are too close for that to be the case.
  • Dundee have got their "harder" matches out the way, and they still have to host ourselves and Thistle, with a trip to Dingwall sandwiched in between (earlier in the season: L, W, W)
  • Thistle host County and Motherwell then go to Dundee (earlier in the season: W, W, L).
  • County go to Thistle, host Dundee then travel to St Johnstone (earlier in the season: L, L, DL).
  • A draw in the Thistle-County game would be the best scenario, but anything will make for a horrible 90 minutes against Dundee the following afternoon.
  • After that, we'll just have to hope for County and Thistle to lose their two remaining games

I think we can beat Dundee, we have a good record up there, but for me it’s more of a must not lose. A draw keeps Dundee in the mix and ensures they put up a fight v county and thistle.

We then play 2 teams with little to play for.

Home v St Johnstone is the game where, if we’ve not won against Dundee, we have a great chance to win and stay up with 1 game to spare.

A draw for us v dundee and county v thistle means we’re 4&6 points clear with 2 to play.

County and Thistle would then have to win their last 2 to go above us meaning Dundee would have lost their 2 final games, putting them below us.[emoji848]

MON THE ACCIES!!!

We'll have a 16 year old up front as he's the only fit striker who can play on plastic. The bad news is we should have a very decent midfield supporting him by then. I think you'll get pumped tbh.

A draw next Friday would be ideal - could see our match being a 0-0 shitfest if that happens.

There used to be a POTY Dinner/Dance every year in the likes of The Town Hall  organised by The Old Stand Club/Supporters Club;big turnouts as well, can remember seeing pictures of it in The Advertiser.
