Looks like we're offering Donati a two-month deal. Did he look utterly finished with you? I see he's peddling the line that he was happy to rip up the contract to help you financially.

He was a dreadful signing for us. Not sure he will cut in Championship either.

That's what I suspected. Definitely an odd one. Looks like he has one eye on coaching, and he's been saying nice things about us in the press for a couple of weeks, but it's strange.

We are also reasonably well covered in the deep-lying midfield position, too, so bizarre all round.

Cheers.

Disagree, he was no where near ‘dreadful’. His legs have definitely gone but at the end of the day he’s 37 or something but did make up for it with great positional strength and reading of the game. He was still the best passer of the ball in our team and is obviously a good guy to have around for the younger guys in the team.

He was under contract until 2019 for us and will have been one of our highest earners so if the monetary situation was ok he’d still be with us. Especially as he was doing a lot of work with our younger age groups like the u15s and u17s.

Donati was a dud, was delighted when we got rid of him. His performance in the cup game at  Motherwell was horrendous, it showed that he was well and truly finished at this level.

Conversely, he was excellent in the previous game at Fir Park.

Fir park was bad but I will trump that with Dens Park - the most ridiculous sending off I have seen.

Conversely, he was excellent in the previous game at Dens Park.

Do I need to bring my surgical bag to remove that elongated straw you have in your gob ?

What I learned:-

  • Crawford Could be leaving in the Summer.
  • Templeton is open for talks about renewing his contract.
  • Club isn't going to Die/Go into Administration.
  • Club has an excellent youth policy.
  • Club has a poor 1st team policy.
  • A volunteer gave away the £1,000,000.
  • Club isn't going to play ball with the old firm 'Colt' teams playing in League 2 unless Accies get to join in as well.
  • Club cannot do anything about opposing fans 'offensive' singing.
  • Nothing can be done nationally about the 'offensive' singing.
  • Club won't lose money if the Lawyers don't win the court case.
  • 'Bigger' teams do not like us.
  • Club has no ambition to raise the bar for the first team.
  • Ross County are richer than Aberdeen.
  • Rangers will pay for Docherty or the SPFL will deduct it from their end of season cash if they do not.
  • Club shop isn't getting bigger anytime soon.
  • Club have hired a new Social media guy (I think?)
  • Club will not struggle financially if we get relegated.
  • Fan ownership is a bad idea. (Except Hearts who are the exception.)
  • Club will up security to ensure no opposing fans get in the home section.
  • Might have a small fan base, yet it is a super loyal one.
  • Season ticket sales have remained constant through relegation and promotion.
  • Jason Scotland to become the U18s Coach as of next season.
  • Clubs Academy is, at worst, the 6th best youth Academy in the country.
  • Club are laying a new 4G pitch after the season is over.

Will add more if I remember anything else.

Overall a good forum imo.
