Henderson would also have to agree to it.

He's far too good for this level and could easily get a gig at Hibs or the like. Why would he happily go on loan to Championship St Mirren when he could get a better move?

Because we’re a massive club and obviously minted?

$t Mirr£n

Crikey Livi have announced the deal is now complete.

Some signing for St Mirren. Fair play to you.

Good deal for both clubs, 5 figure fee and a sell on clause does us fine. Great player going to Saints and will do well, not an out an out goalscorer but will run at defenders and win free kicks/penalties even if he's diving :D

Was out of contract in the summer so to get a fee now is good business for a player who doesn't want to be here

Bizarre one. Why would Livi opt to lose him now on an emergency loan? Couldn't they just wait for the transfer window? Livi fans in the know?

Just for the cash, apparently.

It's making a huge mockery of the transfer system, tbh, but I'm not really going to complain.

(They really, really need to drop the 'emergency' part of that loan agreement rule.)

He could have signed a pre-contract in January and left for nothing in the summer I suppose.

I wonder if he's seen as a back up to Reilly or a starter.

They're being dropped altogether after this season, are they not?

Think he really just wanted away, got a mystery injury before the Glenafton game and didn't play since

Nothing bizarre about it, we’ve got a decent fee for a player we would’ve lost for less in the summer, he wanted to move, we didn’t want to stand in his way, we have a decent enough replacement lined up.

The bizarre part is on both us and Livi for jumping now rather than hanging on for the transfer window. Ripping the pish right out of the "emergency" loan system.

If we are dropping a five figure sum on a player it would suggest the rumours about Morgan to Celtic in January being agreed are true.

Is the suggestion that Celtic are actually paying us money + loaning him back?

I'm happy to take the board (and payer and manager) at their word that he will be with us until the end of the season, even if his paperwork changes hands in January.

Could've been St Mirren wanting him in earlier, if they asked for it I doubt we'd have said no
