theProdigy
Any idea why Spey Valley were "unable to accept promotion" to the North Superleague??
lionel hutz
Would guess it would be down to ground requirements.http://nonleaguescotland.org.uk/speyvalley.htm They play in a field

Some of the grounds in the Superleague are of a similar standard...
afca32
The rumour was they were folding due to increased travelling. Have they been allowed to carry on in the West league?
afca32
And aye the ground is more than up to Superleague standard.
cmontheloknow
Yeah going by what's been said on Fitba North, their existing squad didn't fancy the travelling to Aberdeen on a regular basis.
Cyclizine
Officially, I think a fair amount of their squad are/were Inverness based and with the majority of Superleague clubs around the Aberdeen area they were set to lose most of their squad, so declined promotion (rightly or wrongly). However, there's a lot of 'politics' around football in the Grantown area, have a look at the Fitba North Juniors thread and you'll see..
