League One Summer Transfer Window 2017

Recommended Posts

Seeing as Sonsteam of 08 has thrown some serious shade League One's way, I thought I would start up this seasons summer transfer window thread.

There will no doubt be a high turnover of players in the league this year, particularly with the two Championship teams coming down announcing they will be full time (there will now be a three way scrap between Airdrie, Ayr & Raith for the worst full-time footballers in the country ).

I'll update this once the final two teams have been confirmed and thereafter every few days once transfers have been confirmed officially, however feel free to post incoming/ outgoing players in here.

I'm loving the look of this @Diamond Oracle, especially the fact you're using my exact style 'Player Name (Club, loan expired)'. Good work.

Care to mention League Two so someone down there can create one too. That would be very handy.

Thought there was no point in reinventing the wheel. And you know what they say about imitation...

Not confident that we'll see anything as well organised as the Championship thread in League Two tbh :P

Heard that about Kassarate but not seen anything official yet. Believe there is some more news on its way tonight.

I still can't believe I'm having to venture into this part of the forum. :(

Anyway, Rudi Skacel has also retired from professional football. Thank f**k for that one.

No idea on who we're releasing yet and probably won't know until we get a manager in..

Add Bell, Truesdale, Cowie, McLaughlin and C. Russell to this as they all signed 2 year apprenticeships last summer.

19 (NINETEEN!) players signed (albeit a good number are U20s) - it will be interesting to see what we do over the summer, particularly with the guys who are now too old for 20s but haven't made am impression on the first team (Higgins, etc).

To be fair though, 13 of those 19 are u-21 and apart from McIntosh and Ferguson only have a handful (if any) first team appearances to their name so will be on buttons.

I know that DO, suppose it just puts the recruitment at the top end of the squad into perspective - we can't afford many flops. Could also do with some of those in the 13 (well, the 11 with less than a dozen appearances) stepping up and making the breakthrough as depth on the bench was in short supply in the 2nd half of the season.
