HibeeJibee
As regards the Crusaders tie it's worth recalling that Cove don't actual have a home ground. Could end-up anywhere in Aberdeenshire or Angus.

Grounds for use would probably be, Formartine Utd - who were scheduled to be at home to Cove that day so not being used. Banks O Dee's Spain Park is a possibility but dont think the SJFA North fixtures are sorted for October yet so don't know if free. Turriff Utd and Deveronvale are both away from home. HibeeJibee
They can't use BoD on Saturday afternoons anyway, IIRC, something to do with 3G grant funding reserving it for youth football when BoD aren't home.

1320Lichtie
Dundee United game being on a Sunday and Scotland beating Slovakia on the Thursday meaning the Slovenia game was massive would make for a cracking Sunday day oooot. Please make it happen.

Pittodrie it is then .... Don't knock the cup, it's the novelty factor at the moment, but you never know. Crues brought about 80 fans to Latvia when we played in the Europa Cup in July, I'd imagine about 250 will travel to Aberdeen. A bar / social club would do a right wee turn hosting us for the evening.

Big Berk
Livingston gave it their best shot and lost to them twice, and theyre a decent enough FT side. You could say they were a bit unlucky on Sunday, but TNS weren't bad..

This competition deserves the farce of a Welsh and Northern Irish side fighting it out to win a Scottish trophy.

It will be a good test to see where we are at, although a lot of important league games to get through first. Also, we don't have Hughes.

Unless Cove are obliged to stick to a pre-declared designated ground (meaning either on the Sunday, or kicking Locos off their own ground on the Saturday), my shout would be on the plastic at Forfar. They used Station Park for their two home group games in the League Cup at the start of last season - lost 1-2 to Raith Rovers, beat Montrose 3-0. 1320Lichtie
How often do Elgin get to play a foreign team live on TV? How often do Livingston get to do it? Who cares. It's the challenge cup. Equivalent of playing a Welsh Airdrie.
