So anyway, away from the politics, the last 32 teams in an open draw (other than keeping the foreign sides apart) are:

Linfield

Crusaders

Sligo Wanderers

Bray Wanderers

The New Saints

Conaghs Quay Nomads

Dumbarton

Dundee United

Dunfermline Athletic

Falkirk

Inverness CT

Livingston

Queen of the South

St Mirren

Albion Rovers or Spartans

Alloa Athletic

Ayr United

Raith Rovers

Stranraer

Annan Athletic

Berwick Rangers

Elgin City

Montrose

Peterhead

Buckie Thistle

Cove Rangers

Aberdeen u20s

Hamilton Academical u20s

Hearts u20s

Motherwell u20s

Partick Thistle u20s

Ross County u20s

They're called Sligo Rovers. Linfield are also to be drawn away as Windsor Park is unavailable so Crusaders will be home as in each non-Scottish country it's one of the teams home & the other away.

160 at Motherwell 20s v QP..

These were actually declared as 389 , 318 and 168. There were only 110 at Dundee "B" which may be a new record low in the competitions 25-odd year history. Still no crowds in SPFL website for Partick "B" (although this was announced by the club as 190), Kilmarnock "B" or Ross County "B" yesterday... it wouldn't hugely surprise if these are never released given they seem likely to be poor, but maybe they will come along belatedly.

This means the average, excluding Championship clubs at home as they didn't play this stage last season, has gone under 300 and in doing so dropped 11% from 333 last season to 298.

Fair to say, the authorities have made a diddy cup into a paper cup due to them pandering to the big league, hopefully the diddy clubs field their 20's just to make sure it dies a death.

The SPFL site calls them Sligo Wanderers. I thought it was Rovers but didnt know for sure it wasnt a different club or name change. I knew about the Linfield/Crusaders thing but didnt see the need to detail it as the point was about which clubs were in the draw. The same applied last season meaning we got Linfield at Palmerston.

So let me get this straight (as I don't usually keep up with the challenge cup) - our U20's could be off to NI or Wales?? Mental. Still, I've not had a foreign jaunt since the Euro trips spectacularly dried up......

And the justification for inviting teams that can't even play a home tie is?

Not sure what your point is? Its good to be accommodating to clubs isn't it? Other recent examples would be:

Hearts playing away end of last season / beginning of this season

West Ham playing away start of this season
