Kuate any good?

Yes, but Morton gave him too much room. He also got away with a lot and had a comedy moment when he had a fall out with Spital after rolling around holding his face after giving away a foul which could have been a second yellow.

You are using one of the most bigoted posters on here ie. HB to support you against bigots ??

You really are a w****r.

That's quite a rude post tbh.

We're done. Minimum required is now to score 2 through there - assuming we use away goals rule in playoffs? When's the last time we scored 2 in a game? The 4-1 drubbing or Ayr?

2nd half performance was pitiful. We sat off and tried to defend a 1 goal lead... and then looked content to try hold onto a 1-1 draw...

No denying we've had a good season but I doubt Duffy can take us any further. We have such a diddy team mentality.

That's because Morton are essentially a diddy team

Willie Collum has quite simply been Dundee United's best perfomer so far. This seems similar to the League Cup game - that time we got two goals up at half-time though. I'm not convinced that we'll keep a clean sheet this time either so we could really do with another goal.

Oyenuga on for Shankland would be a major help IMO.

And thus it turned out. Our team seemed to believe that Dundee United would be just as abysmal in the second half as they were in the first and that we would therefore canter on to victory. That was never going to happen and unlike the League Cup game we didn't achieve the two goal margin required to cling on. Dundee United's star performer Willie Collum then allows a genuine arm-lock challenge from that gubbins tit The Edge on O'Ware in United's penalty box to go unchallenged prior to their inevitable goal. Gaston, the absolute clownshoes liability that he has been for the last six months, then sells the winner by being pointlessly rooted to a post when Spittal is 25 yards out. I now reckon that opponents are deliberately trying to catch Gaston out by shooting early, as he is obviously dreadful at dealing with it. Flog him off to Raith Rovers next season as he is quite simply not good enough for this standard of competition.

By starting that absolute waste of skin Shankland Duffy pretty much messed that game up from the start. In both attacking and defensive terms we were playing with a man down. The only consolation of sorts is that we only need a narrow win at Tannadice to slither through to extra-time on Friday - which given that Dundee United aren't too impressive themselves seems vaguely plausible.

Still have the fear. We're quite adept at royally fucking things up, and Morton will come to Tannadice with nothing to lose.

Rest assured that Jim Duffy will still play for the draw.

He's a fine keeper on form but he's making mistakes almost every week, never seen a keeper having such little command over his defence and box.

That's the literal definition of a gubbins professional level goalkeeper, regardless of whether he is chucking goals into the net which he has been doing during this entire season.

He is at best a mid-table Championship goalkeeper and on recent form is playing like a League One non-entity. Morton can't realistically afford to upgrade our pretty good Championship-level central midfielders with top-flight alternatives but we can absolutely upgrade on Gaston with either a better permanent option or a loan deal this summer. That position is a key failing in this squad that any ruthless management team should be targeting in order to do better next season. If we hand Gaston a new deal then it really sets the tone for some more sentimental, gubbins mediocrity instead.

Collum wasn't even that bad. I genuinely don't know where all the complaints have come from other than a few free kicks he gave us on the half way line during the first half.
