archieb
Is there any possibility this tie has actually been forgotten?? All the other matches in Round 2, Round 3 and the quarter-finals are listed on the WSJFA web page for the competition, either with a result, with a scheduled date & time, or TBC. But Carluke v Rossvale is 100% missing, even though it looks like it could have been played this evening. Unless the clubs know of a specific reason why the fixture couldn't be scheduled yet, they really should contact you-know-who and ask him what the flip is going on! hardest ned in glasgow
I've been wondering about this fixture too. It's strange.
peasy23
It's a strange one, whoever wins our tie at EK Thistle tonight faces a long wait to find out who they will eventually play. I never saw it myself, but I was told it briefly appeared on the fixtures over a week ago then just as quickly vanished, just like our league match at Yoker the other week. peasy23
The match is now showing on the results page as having been postponed on Saturday.
LeedsPhil
See the Results tab. He's afterwards added it in to Sat 29th's (which it wasn't), showing the result as PP'd. Bizarre ! EDIT - peasy23 just beat me to it.
archieb
Checked @rossvalejuniors twitter. On 22nd April they announced the game at Carluke for the following Saturday (29th), then later in the day said it had been "pulled" even though @carlukeroversfc twitter queried this saying it was still on the fixtures page and extranet. 1. What was the reason for "postponing" what appears to be a perfectly viable game? 2. Why wasn't it rescheduled for Wednesday 3rd May along with most of the other outstanding R2 CLC games 3. Looks like it went the same way as the equally viable Kilwinning Rangers v Pollok on the same date, a disappearance which has never been explained. Something smells fishy
Stormrelic
Nothing fishy ,Game was due to be played on the 29th but the council double booked the stadium & Carluke were informed we wouldn't have access that day so the game was canceled , Unfortunately the park is booked throughout the week by athletics & other football teams so the only time we will be able to play this game is on a Saturday . Fair enough. Thanks for resolving the mystery. This does though again emphasise the importance of advance notice of fixtures, with enough warning that sort of situation would be much less likely. Jason King
Now that seems a trifle odd - if the game is holding up the competition then why has it not been switched to a neutral venue?
peasy23
Well, can anyone shed any light on when, if ever, this match is going to be played?

peasy23
We played our last league game yesterday . So why in the name of the wee man wasn't this originally down for next Saturday? Rossvale were still tweeting yesterday that they had no game next week.

How hopeless does that show current fixture planning (or, more correctly the lack of any) to be?!!! I wonder what it will take for Dunipace v Lesmahagow and Forth v Benburb to be scheduled, as they've not been included with the other R3 ties listed for the 10th. Maybe those clubs should make their own arrangements too!!

The winner plays Home v Greenock in the next round, which Mr Fixturesman has just now set for Wednesday 17th May. Did he even check with you first whether you'd be able to get on to the park that non-Saturday?...
