Of course Holm Park is due to be redeveloped beginning later in 2017 and due to be complete quickly but I highly doubt that given the lack of any update.

Even we don't know what's happening other than the funds are in place & talks are still on-going.  As far as I know, no detailed plans have been drawn up either for redevelopment.

FFS, how many times is that now City have been messed around by the mandarins? Why is it also always resulting in a move partially through a season?

They were given a five year lease at the Bught with the intention that they would use the time to find a permanent ground. They haven't. The "mandarins" are once again helping them to try and find a solution.

Updates :

Lochee Harp have announced that their Saturday 20th May home fixture will be their last ever at Beechwood Park.

Rosyth managed to get back on to Recreation Park. Their last home match of the season is also Saturday 20th May. Whether they'll still be able to get on the park at the start of next season is not known.

Inverness City will start next season still at Lister Park. They have been told by the council (but only verbally, they have no written guarantee) that if a forward plan for where they're going next is clear, the lease of Lister Park would be extended beyond its October expiry, but just to fill the interim - remaining there long term is not an option. It's apparently because Bught Park was bequeathed 'for the common good' so some jobsworth has complained about them having fenced off a bit (which is of course a requirement of any new Junior ground). The plan is to share at Clach if Clach go plastic, which is dependent on a grant for most of the cost being awarded, the decision on which is therefore needed before October.

Kennoway Star Hearts are expected to move to the new 4G surface at East Fife. And wouldn't be surprised if they drop the Star Hearts from their name.

If they are going to move to New Bayview, maybe they should just go the whole hog and rename themselves East Fife Juniors, or Methil FC or something, try and attract a bit of interest from when East Fife are away from home.

I've been catching up on the last two month's copies of the East Fife Mail and on the back page of the April 19 edition is confirmation of Kennoway's intended move to Bayview.

In an article entitled "Bayview ground share talks" KSH's manager Eck Davidson says that they were in talks with East Fife about groundsharing with the proposal involving either sharing the dressing rooms or putting portacabins in. He also says they have 11 years left on the the lease at Treaton Park and intend to start an amateur side and maybe a couple of youth teams.

However things have gone quiet since then and my information is that the rental(approx £7k) is proving problematic.

I'm not aware of anyone with KSH connections who posts on P n B and can bring us up to date with developments.

Update from Clach this week that the plastic pitch plan won't be going ahead.

The Bught thing is nothing to do with a jobsworth complaining, it was only ever supposed to be a temporary arrangement until a permanent ground could be found.

We had to notify the SJFA of where we would be playing our home games before the AGM and unfortunately east fife couldn't guarantee things would be in place in time for the start of new season

we did ask if we could start the season at treaton park and move to bayview in September / October when facilities were ready but were told this wasn't an option in no uncertain terms by SJFA   We will therefore be playing from treaton park this season with a move to bayview agreed for next season and the rental fee was never an issue as we had reached an agreement with both east fife and the fife trust

not ideal being we are now a super league side  but we Will try and use the slope etc to our advantage in what will be a tough year for everyone at the club  and see where it takes us

That's odd, there's few examples recently of East Region clubs moving mid season, us for example when we played on a temporary pitch next door to our new ground and then moved in January 2015 when the 3G was finished.  Whitburn played at several venues before moving back to Central Park around the same time when their new pavilion was completed. Rosyth played at several venues last season.

Given you're moving to a stadium with 3G, the Region would probably bite your hand off for you to move mid season, matches almost guaranteed to be on and not called off, and I doubt clubs would complain.

Thanks for the update.

It'll be a shame to lose Treaton Park from the juniors, a very picturesque ground.

KSH ground was one of the best located grounds ive been too and made a great day out for a scottish cup game, the work done on it was brilliant with the resources given and it just had that feel of a great wee ground, dont think the club should move imo

As I said before I don't believe there is any Star Hearts connection to the club any more so there's no reason for Kennoway to play in Star.

However there's no connection between Kennoway and Methil either.
