Dundee United v Dunfermline Athletic

Recommended Posts

This is the game where United probably get their season back on track.

Pars will more or less stay up with a win (if St. Mirren don't take anything in their game with Morton) only needing 1 point from 4 games but I can't see us taking anything in this one.

After kindly gifting our old pals from the Seaside League three points to aid their quest to avoid the drop we had a tough run of fixtures. It was just what we needed to focus the minds and we've seen off Morton, held the champions elect and swatted away our local rivals.

An early Pars goal followed by 85 minutes of Wedderburn shielding the ball in the corner flag.

Utd 0 - 1 Pars.

Can make it up to this one, if we win here might start making the Utd fans shite themselves a wee bit, us and Queens would be 6 points away with 4 left.

That is a massive and unlikely if though, we are due a win against Utd but can't see t happening.

Normality for us resumed with a 1-1 draw.

ETA - United currently sit bottom of the form table with 4 points from their last 6 games (2nd bottom of the 10 game table with just 9 points)

Utd are a club in decline, fans and club at odds, with nothing to say to me they are going to recover anytime soon. If AJ is braver than our over cautious manager was yesterday Utd can be easily beaten

2 - 1 Pars.

Utd go 1-0 up with 20 mins to go. Mckinnon to take our striker/s off for Toshney (if not shoehorned in from the start) and Donaldson and Pars equalise with 2 mins to go and a winner in injury time from a penalty given away by a two footed, knee high tackle from behind by Toshney on a Pars player without the ball.

Let's be honest, if any Pars fan was offered seven points from Morton (A), Hibs (H) & Rovers (H), they'd have bitten your hand off. A point tomorrow night would be a good result, albeit ending any excitement for the remaining four games.

Especially after that clusterfuck of an Ayr game!

Only decision for AJ is whether Herron comes back in or McCabe keeps his place (if Herron is fit).

Can't see us winning it - we just don't convert enough chances. Despite their form, I can see a drab 1-0 win for Utd with Morris getting himself sent-off.

Just because we haven't converted all chances doesn't mean we can't win tomorrow. Could quite easily put 2 or 3 past Dundee tomorrow if we have our shooting boots on.

Looking at the top division results suggests that you wouldn't be entering a very select club with that outcome.
