Arise Sir Archibald!!!

Recommended Posts

With it looking increasingly likely that the mighty Jags are going to secure top 6.... plus Archibalds consistency over last few seasons with lowest premier league budget.... surely it's time he got the knighthood call.... Would fully expect him to tell lizzy to fuk off... but heh it's nice to be considered

Seriously think that Particks budget is lower than Hamiltons?

Lord Archibald of Maryhill took half a loaf from Tesco, a haddock from the chippie on Maryhill Road and turned it into a feast for the 3000.

Anyone who says otherwise commits blasphemy and is sentenced to eternity with Nacho Novo.

We not only have a lower budget than Hamilton, but also the vast majority of Scottish Championship teams. That may not be 100% true, but it is a complete fact.

Seriously, it would be well deserved for Thistle and Alan Archibald. They are a decent side to watch and have built steadily over the past few seasons. Doubt anyone would begrudge them a top six spot.

Fully agree. I said on here a couple of months ago that Archibald doesn't get the credit he deserves.

When Hearts get rid of the VL they could do a lot worse than turn their attention to Maryhill.

I think he'll be away to the English Championship at the end of the season, possibly even taking Doolan with him. Hope I'm wrong. He's earned a step-up though.

Quite staggering to have two bona fide Partick Thistle legends at the same time, one as manager and the other as player, and one of the best young Scottish centre halves going rather than the shite like Dave the Ukrainian, Sandy Hodge, Bryn Halliwell etc. of not so very long ago. What a time to be a Jags fan.

Congrats to Colin Weir on Thistle's impending top six finish. 33 goals in 30 games, so playing football the right way too.

Doubt the Weirs have much change to spare from bankrolling the good guys' preparations for indyref2. We establish ourselves as one of Scotland's elite clubs anyway - everyone wins.
