Thistle_do_nicely
Did she ever pick a car? It's possible I've skimmed over a post confirming which car she chose or indeed whether she opted to wait. I'd be looking at an Avensis in that range, been browsing for cars in free time at work since it's quiet here at the minute and the Toyota Avensis 1.8L Petrol Business Edition Estate keeps catching my my eye. edit: whoops, just noticed in the OP that you said she wants a small hatch! Would probably look at a Mazda 3 in that case. A friend of mine is a Toyota mechanic and says most Toyota's are very, very robust but they are quite pricey for any parts. iirc it's something to do with their garage having to order any replacements directly from Toyota themselves, and it's not like Audi where they're all ultra interchangeable. Not bad to drive actually. Fords are usually pretty decent to drive and good in winter with heated screen, seats etc.
