glensmad Posted March 25, 2017 Share Posted March 25, 2017 How was the game? I heard a Shettleston punter describe it after the game as "a mugging". Glens missed a fair number of chances, and the Shettleston goalie Whyte had some outstanding saves. Shettleston had a goal disallowed for offside in the first half and they had other chances as well, but Hutchison didn't have many saves to make, unlike Whyte. But when you don't take your chances you're susceptible to the sucker punch, and it came with 10 minutes to go. No complaints, the game should have been won before that and we didn't. Went from 4 horse race to 2 today.Now a straight shoot out between Talbot and Glenafton IMO. Stormrelic Posted March 25, 2017 Share Posted March 25, 2017 Ft Carluke 2 Bellshill 1 Carluke went down to 10 men after 21 mins ,Bellshill opened the scoring on 43 mins ,Carluke pulled one back via a fernie header on 76 mins & Carluke took the lead on 79 mins when Fernie forced the ball over the line ,Carluke defended fantastically for the last 10 mins to move into the second round .
